Who loves the beach? ME! 😍🌊👙 Growing up in the province where our humble home is just so close to the beach, that's when I started to love this God's beautiful creation. No wonder that every time I visit to a certain place, I am always excited to swim at their beaches. For this Rejourney , I'm gonna be taking you to Basdaku Beach in Moalboal, Cebu, Philippines.
On the previous months, I've been working so hard on my career. I got so busy with a lot of things both on my professional life and personal life. As the breadwinner of the family, I need to double my effort to help my family on our daily needs. I told myself that I'm gonna be taking a quick break some time and do something that would benefit my mental health.❤️ I filed for a vacation leave at work and went on a beach trip. I am really the type of person who gets more productive after doing such.😀
MY TRAVEL BUDDY 🌊
Meet Dianah, she is my travel buddy for this trip. We've been friends for 9 years already. She witnessed all my ups and downs in life and stayed as one of my genuine friends. All thanks to her boyfriend for allowing her to be with me in this trip.😀
WELCOME TO MOALBOAL, CEBU, PHILIPPINES
Basdaku Beach is a little paradise located in the Southern part of Cebu, Philippines specifically in Moalboal, Cebu. That's approximately 3 hours away from the city. You could take a private car, a bus or a van upon going there. If you would choose to have the public transportation, from South Bus Terminal, ride a bus bound for Moalboal via Barili or Badian. Then ask to be dropped off at Moalboal Municipal Hall.
MOALBOAL MUNICIPAL HALL
One you reached the town of Moalboal, you need to go first to their Tourist Information and Assistance Center. Since we are still in the middle of a global pandemic, you need to seek first for a pass slip here before you could enter at Basdaku Beach. They are doing this for everyone's safety and for them to have a record also who are the ones entering their place and for how long you'll be staying here. It is also important to present your room reservation on your stay here, because the tourism officer will be asking that and it will also be stated on the pass slip. This pass slip costs 25.00 per head for local tourist and there would be a different rate for foreign tourists. After getting your pass slip here, you can hire a tricycle to take you to Basdaku or White Beach.
After getting our pass slip, Dianah and I decided to grab some ice cream, drinks and junk foods at 7/11 in Moalboal, Cebu. Prior to this, we also bought already some lechon manok and hanging rice. After which, we proceed to Basdaku Beach. 😍
Just few meters away from Basdaku Beach, there were some assigned personnel that would ask you to present the pass slip before proceeding to Basdaku Beach.
It's a bit late when we arrived at Basdaku Beach. We paid for 10.00 pesos each for the entrance fee. We fixed our things at the room that we rented just few steps away from the beach. The rooms here would range from , 1,200.00- 1,500.00 or more depending on the type of your choice. After everything were settled, we headed on to the shoreline and had a bottle of red horse. Dianah and I had a meaningful conversation that night. During our college days when we were still boardmates, we used to talk about our exams, school requirements and everything in between. Now that we are in the adulting stage, we talked about how life has been going the past months, our plans, dreams and even asked each other where are we gonna see ourselves 5 years from now. This is just something memorable for me.🙂
BASDAKU BEACH: WHITE SAND BEACH
BASDAKU was derived from two Cebuano words “bas” and “daku” which means sand and big , respectively. The name literally describes the kilometer-long coastline of the white sand beach.

SOMETHING NEW TO ME 👙
I've never been this confident in wearing a bikini before.😆 I gathered some sort of confidence to do it. Dianah told me that there's nothing to be ashamed of on how I look. My confidence was boosted even more knowing that I am sorrouned with supportive people.🙂
BOOKS THAT I BROUGHT WITH ME
On my beach trip, I really enjoyed it more because I brought some books with me. The Subtle Art of Not Giving a Fuck and The Art of War by Sun Tzu are such great books.😍

To complete your beach vibe experience here in Moalboal, Cebu, you could also buy some souvenirs from the locals here at a very affordable price. Supporting their small business is also a great help to them on buying their basic needs.💕
MAGNIFICENT SUNSET
Basdaku Beach is known for its white sand beach, crystal clear and pristine seawater and not to mention its magnificent sunset. It is indeed one of the best beaches here in Cebu, Philippines. I felt really happy that I got to witness this on my trip here. I am always in awe of God's beautiful creation.😍
This is literally me every time I witness a sunset. I am really full of happiness right here.😄 Every sunset would always remind me of all the challenges that I was able to overcome in life. As the sun sets everyday, I also have the chance to become the better or even the best version of myself on the coming days.❤️
LIVING LIFE ACCORDING TO GOD'S TIMELINE FOR ME ❤️
I set the timer to capture these photos. I am in the generation where almost all of my batchmates are getting engaged, some are getting married and others are having their first or second child already and here I am patiently waiting for God's best for me.❤️ With everything that I've been through in life, I always have this mindset not to pressure myself on the things or situations that I can't control. I am a firm believer that God is the best author of our lives and our waiting season is never a denied plan, but rather a preparation for something that's best for us. I am not behind, I am just exactly where God wants me to be in life. When it's already God's perfect timing, every thing will just flow smoothly.💞 To my 25-year old self, I am so proud of you and to the person that you've become.💖
