Hello, Hivers.ππ How are you guys doing? I hope everyone is safe out there. I am back for another Rejourney . This time I'm gonna be taking you to one of the best places I've been to and that would be in Tagaytay City, Philippines. βοΈ
Tagaytay Philippines has always been a part of my bucket list ever since I was still young. I am just so happy that before the pandemic, I was able to check this off on my bucket list.π I am from Cebu Philippines and I have relatives living in Manila, Philippines. I'm just so happy that when I mentioned to my aunt about my love for Tagaytay, she told me that I should go there and they will accompany me. For this trip, I was able to save a lot. I am so blessed to have a very generous aunt. I only paid for my plane ticket going to Manila and back here in Cebu. The whole time that I was with them in Manila and Tagaytay, my aunt and her best friend paid for all the expenses on our adventure.π
This is actually the first time that I travelled to Manila just by myself. I was a bit scared, but at the same time excited that time. When I landed at Ninoy Aquino International Airport, my aunt and her best friend fetched me and we went directly to the condo unit of Tita Den (my aunt's best friend) in Sta. Ana Manila, Philippines. It was late when we arrived at Tita Den's place so after fixing some things, we all slept to have that energy for our Tagaytay adventure the following day.
BEAUTIFUL VIEW FROM THE CONDO UNIT OF TITA DEN π
I woke up seeing this beautiful view from the condo unit of Tita Den in Rivergreen Residences, Sta. Ana Manila.π This is the famous Pasig River in the Philippines. Tita Den told me that there's so much difference on how clean it is now compared to how it looks like on the previous years.
Meet Faye, she's my cousin. We had a quick picture taking while waiting for my auntie Elma, Tita Den and my other cousins to be ready for our Tagaytay trip.π This is my "Outfit of the Day" right here. The excitement on my face is really visible.π Tagaytay City here we go! π
Everyone's ready and we are now heading to Tagaytay City, Yehey! ππ Tita Den was our designated driver for this trip. She was able to visit Tagaytay for a couple of times already. The moment she knew that I want to travel there, she told my auntie Elma that she's willing to adjust her schedule just to be with us. She loves us so much.π
FIRST STOP: TAGAYTAY MAHOGANY BEEF MARKET
It was already lunch time when we arrived at Tagaytay City. Since Tagaytay is famous for its "Bulalo" or in English term we call this "Filipino Beef Shank Soup," we really made sure to have this for lunch to complete our Tagaytay experience.π We chose to dine at Tagaytay Mahogany Beef Market which is also considered as the "Largest Beef Market in Tagaytay, Philippines."
The moment that we arrived at Tagaytay Mahogany Beef Market, I was able to discover that there are a lot of stalls here who sells Bulalo and other delicious menu. We chose to dine at Japitian Canteen Bulalohan.
We really enjoyed our lunch right here in Tagaytay Mahogany Beef Market. I'm so happy that I get to spend this first time experience here with my cousins, auntie Elma and Tita Den.π
After we had lunch, I saw someone who's selling some pastillas and taho (Filipino Silken Tofu with Sago Pearls & Syrup) here so I decided to buy from her.π
Aside from the delicious food that could be bought here in Tagaytay Mahogany Beef Market, you could also see some stores here that sells birds, flowers, plants and etc. After exploring this place, we are now headed to our next adventure.
SKY RANCH TAGAYTAY
We visited Sky Ranch Tagaytay which is known as one of the famous amusement park here. This is my first time to be in this amazing place. Even if my cousins, auntie Elma and Tita Den has been here for a couple of times already, they were still very excited to tour me around.
Sky Ranch Tagaytay features the tallest Ferris wheel in the Philippines. For this trip, I chose not to try the rides yet because I just wanted to cherish the moment of roaming around and enjoying the view. I also enjoyed watching the kids or even the adults try on the different rides right here.
I told myself that the next time that I will get the chance to visit this place again, I would have that courage to try out the different carnival-style rides here (hopefully).π
I could only see the beautiful view of Tagaytay before through social media pages, but this time I was able to see it finally in person.π The Sky Ranch in Tagaytay is where you could also see the picturesque view of the Tagaytay Highlands and the famous Taal Volcano. In addition, the view also overlooks Lake Taal, which is known as the Philippine's third largest lake. π Just WOW! π Thank you, Lord for this beautiful masterpiece that you created here on Earth.π Now it's time to explore other tourist attractions here in Tagaytay City.
SONYA'S GARDEN π₯π»
I mentioned to my auntie Elma about my love for flowers, so they took me to Sonya's garden in Alfonso town.
Aside from its fantastic bread and breakfast, Sonya's Garden is also considered as one of the best place for weddings and other events. I really love the inviting smell of fragrant flowers here. This place would bring you closer to nature and there's so much peace in this beautiful attraction.β€οΈ
Since Sonya's Garden is perfect for any events, me and my cousins took some photos on the instagrammable spots right here. I was totally amazed with what the whole place could offer.π I'm very happy that I got to spend this adventure with my cousins that I haven't seen for a long time.β€οΈ Our bond becomes stronger and I really praise God for this.
SJ RESIDENCE TAGAYTAY
Since it was a bit late when we finished on our last adventure of the day, Auntie Elma and Tita Den decided to book a room in Tagaytay and we went home to Manila the following day. We stayed at SJ Residence in Tagaytay for a night. This place is owned by the family friend of Tita Den. This resort is still going on a lot of renovations while we were here few years ago and by this time this has now a lot of improvements.
After fixing our things in our room, my cousins and I decided to have a quick dip at their pool. It was sooooo cold! Hahahaha!π Tagaytay City is considered as the second summer capital of the Philippines and imagine how cold the whole place is, but still we decided to swim. Hahahaha.π We enjoyed it anyway and this experience is truly unforgettable. The next morning, we headed back to Manila for an important family event.
There are still a lot of beautiful attractions that Tagaytay City, Philippines could offer, however I wasn't able to explore it all by this time. I am looking forward to visit this magical place again soon for another Rejourney. βοΈ I will see you all on my next adventure.π
