Hello, Hivers! Rej here and I am back for another Rejourney. For today, I'm gonna be taking you to another adventure. Let's go to the Southern part of Cebu where the beautiful sea creatures and crystal-clear waters could be found. Welcome to the majestic Panagsama Beach in Moalboal, Cebu, Philippines.
My friends and I planned for this adventure to take a quick break from our busy life as adults.
I'm with one of my close friends, Emily. We've been friends since college. We had a stop over in a mall in Cebu City to buy the lacking stuff that we will be using for our Moalboal trip. By this time, we also had an agreement with some of our friends who are also on their way that we are just going to meet up at Carcar City public market for lunch before finally heading to Moalboal.
We are now at Carcar Public Market and we decided to have the famous lechon for our lunch as our viand and paired it with hanging rice. We were so hungry during this time that we even didn't mind taking a photo of us eating. Hahaha! As soon as we bought 1 kilo of lechon, we immediately ate it with my friends. After eating, we headed to Moalboal.
As soon as we arrived in Moalboal, Cebu, we immediately went to their tourism office. If you are a tourist coming from any parts of the world and you will decide to visit Moalboal, the first thing that you have to do is to go here. There is a person in-charge in front of this tourism office and then he/she would ask you to write down the list of names you are with and just some basic information like your address and age.
After which, you can now proceed inside the tourism office to get a pass slip . You will be asked by the staff to present the confirmed booking for your accommodation in Moalboal as part of the requirement in getting a pass slip. Next step is you will be paying 25.00 pesos per head for the pass slip. After getting your pass slip, you can now proceed to your adventure.
OUR ACCOMMODATION IN MOALBOAL,CEBU
We decided to stay at Indino Guest house in Panagsama Road, Moalboal Philippines. This place is just so near the beach where the water activities like sardines run, snorkeling, scuba diving and etc. could be done. We booked a room that's good for 6 persons. We stayed there for 3 days and 2 nights and we paid a net of 4,817.66 pesos including taxes and fees. This accommodation is very affordable, convenient and just within the budget.
After we settled our things, we are now ready to explore Pangsama Beach. Let's go!
We rented some underwater equipment at Indino Guest House. Aside from this place being one of the best place to stay in Moalboal, they also have these things for rent so we don't have to worry that much. They even have a GoPro camera for rent and we also availed that one. Most of my GoPro shots are videos posted on my Youtube channel.
Meet Jovert, Adrian, Carmel, Ann and Emily. They are my adventure buddy for this Panagsama Beach adventure. They are the coolest friends I have and I just can't stop laughing with all their jokes every time we're together.
With our swimming attires, we are now ready to enjoy the beach. We have the option to pay for a tour guide, but since Ann and Adrian are free divers and they've been in this place for a couple of times, we all agreed to have them as our guide instead. That was truly a fun-filled experience with this bunch!
OUR UNDERWATER ADVENTURE
We tried sardines run which is a very famous underwater activity here in Moalboal. We really enjoyed following the sardines and even get amazed with the sea turtle as well. This experience is really one for the books!
There are also a number of restaurants and bars in the area, making it the perfect place to relax, enjoy and spend memories with friends over food or even a glass of alcohol either. We tried some restaurants around the area for our breakfast, lunch and dinner.
SUNSET IN PANGSAMA BEACH, MOALBOAL CEBU
As someone who loves to see the sky in pretty colors, sunset will always be my favorite part of the day. This is what I always look forward to in every trip that I have. The calm, the beauty and the peace that it brings is a gentle reminder for me to slow down a bit in life and appreciate what's in the present while planning for the future. Every sunset for me is an indication that if some chapter of our lives closes, we can always begin again as we wait for the sun to rise again the next morning.
To add up, Moalboal Cebu has one of the best sunsets.
After our adventure here, it is now time to go back to reality. Before heading back to the city, Ann's sister and her friends who happens to be in Moalboal as well for vacation shared us some food they cooked for lunch. That was so delicious. We are very much grateful for their generosity.
A FRIENDSHIP LIKE NO OTHER
In life, it is very rare to find some people that would stick with you through thick and thin. Those people who would embrace you for who you are, and would definitely go the extra mile just to keep the trust and love you have for each other. Looking back, we are not really capable of spending on trips most especially that most of us are breadwinners and we need to prioritize more important things for our family. But that's okay, because now that we are slowly fulfilling some of our dreams to travel, we were able to appreciate more the beauty of delayed gratification.
It is just so nice to think that the people that I've been in this Panagsama trip are the same people I have when I was still in the process of building myself. I will forever treasure this memory that we were able to create.
That's it for today's Rejourney . I will see you all on my next one. Much love from your Inspiring Cebuana. Stay safe.
