¡Hola a toda la gente que me lee! En esta oportunidad les voy a contar de este viaje que hice junto a mi hija, que lo decidimos casi al último momento, viajar a la Isla de Coche (estado Nueva Esparta) en los días de carnaval. Ella tenía unos días libres en su trabajo y quería pasarlos en la playa.
I traveled to Caracas to meet my daughter and from there we took the bus to get to the Maiquetía airport. When we arrived it was about five in the afternoon, we queued to check tickets and luggage and sat waiting. After a while the announcement of the plane's delay for a few hours was heard and the flight ended up leaving at one in the morning, the good thing is that when we arrived at Margarita island, the people from the travel agency were waiting for us who were going to take us to the hotel, which is on El Yaque beach.
Viajé hasta Caracas a encontrarme con mi hija y de ahí tomamos el autobús para llegar al aeropuerto de Maiquetía. Cuando llegamos eran como las cinco de la tarde, hicimos la cola para chequear boleto y equipaje y nos sentamos a la espera. Pasado un rato se escuchó el comunicado de retraso del avión por unas horas y el vuelo terminó saliendo a la una de la madrugada, lo bueno es que llegando a la isla de Margarita nos estaba esperando la gente de la agencia de viaje que nos iba a llevar al hotel, el cual queda en la playa El Yaque.
We arrived at the hotel around two in the morning and around three o'clock dinner was brought to our room and we were tired, almost falling asleep. They treated us very well at the hotel and told us that at 7:30 in the morning we had to be ready, that a boat was going to take us to Coche island, at a distance of 20 minutes.
Llegamos al hotel como a las dos de la madrugada y como a las tres nos trajeron a la habitación la cena y nosotras cansadas, casi cayendo del sueño. Nos trataron muy bien en el hotel y nos dijeron que a las 7:30 de la mañana teníamos que estar listas, que un bote nos iba a llevar a la Isla de Coche, a una distancia de 20 minutos.
We got up early, ate some of what they gave us for breakfast and went downstairs to wait for the boat. When it arrived, all of us who were going to that destination got on board but one person was missing and we had to wait a long time. Meanwhile, the movement of the boat through the waves was making us dizzy hahaha. Finally the person arrived and the boat started, and in 20 minutes we reached Coche island.
Nos levantamos tempranito, desayunamos algo de lo que nos dieron y bajamos a esperar el bote. Cuando llegó nos montamos todos los que íbamos a ese destino pero faltaba una persona y tuvimos que esperar un largo rato. Mientras, el movimiento del bote por las olas nos estaba mareando jajaja. Por fin llegó la persona y arrancó el bote, y en 20 minutos llegamos a la Isla de Coche.
Getting off the boat we went to the hotel to check in, we had an all-inclusive package bought. We went to the room to leave our things and since it was almost 8:00 in the morning we had our breakfast. In the dining room there was a buffet service, it had everything: milk, coffee, bread, empanadas, cereals, cheese, ham, juices, jams, everything was as we expected, very good!
Bajando del bote nos dirigimos al hotel para registrarnos, nosotras teníamos un paquete comprado con todo incluido. Fuimos a la habitación a dejar nuestras cosas y como eran casi las 8:00 de la mañana nos tocaba nuestro desayuno. En el comedor había un servicio tipo bufé, tenía de todo: leche, café, pan, empanadas, cereales, queso, jamón, jugos, mermeladas, todo fue como lo esperábamos, ¡muy bueno!
Then we went back to the room, changed our clothes and put on our bathing suits to go to enjoy the spectacular beach that was about a hundred meters from the rooms. What I liked the most were the cabins, one next to the other on that dense green grass that looked like a carpet, with this I mean that it wasn't an ordinary hotel with rooms but some magical cabins to stay that I loved , very beautiful.
Luego volvimos a la habitación, nos cambiamos de ropa y nos pusimos los trajes de baño para ir a disfrutar la espectacular playa que estaba a unos cien metros de las habitaciones. Lo que más me gustó fueron las cabañas, una al lado de la otra sobre esa grama verde densa que parecía una alfombra, con esto quiero decir que no era un hotel común y corriente de habitaciones sino unas cabañas para hospedarse mágicas que a mí me encantaron, muy bellas.
Well, having the beach a few meters away we went for a tasty swim, and as it was shallow, much better, and with little waves, very calm.
Bueno, teniendo la playa a unos metros nos metimos a nadar sabroso, y como era poco profunda, mucho mejor, y con olas escasas, muy tranquila.
We spent the morning enjoying the bath until noon when it was time for lunch. Everyone chose what they were going to eat and drink, all very organized and programmed and having a view of the infinite sea, imagine how well you enjoy.
Pasamos la mañana disfrutando el baño hasta el mediodía que era la hora de almorzar. Cada quien escogía lo que iba a comer y tomar, todo muy ordenado y programado y teniendo de vista el mar infinito, se imaginan lo bien que uno disfruta.
We saw people practicing kitesurfing, falling into the water and everyone enjoyed it in their own way. We walked the entire seashore, we played rackets and that way we got a better tan, and as the cabins were a few meters away, we stayed up late to watch the sunset.
Vimos gente practicando kitesurf, cayendo al agua y cada quien disfrutaba a su manera. Nosotras caminamos toda la orilla del mar, jugamos raquetas y así nos bronceamos mejor, y como las cabañas estaban a unos metros, nos quedamos hasta tarde para ver la puesta de sol.
Then we went to the cabin to take a shower and see the hotel spaces around a beautiful pool, there were beautiful garotas dancing samba, very nice Brazilian style fun. Later we dined on some grilled fish that they prepared at that time very tasty, plus other accompaniments to that dish.
Después fuimos a la cabaña a ducharnos y ver los espacios del hotel alrededor de una hermosa piscina, había lindas garotas bailando samba, diversión al estilo brasilero muy bonito. Más tarde cenamos unos pescados a la plancha que preparaban en ese momento bien ricos, más otros acompañantes de ese plato.
On Coche island we stayed for three unforgettable days and the Brazilian style show continued. There were some local vendors with their beautiful handicrafts that we bought to keep as souvenirs and because of the wonderful time we had, I would like to return to that place that we did not know but that will be difficult to forget.
En la Isla de Coche nos quedamos tres días inolvidables y el show estilo brasileño siguió. Había unos vendedores locales con sus bellas artesanías de las cuales compramos para tenerlas de recuerdo y por lo maravilloso que lo pasamos me gustaría volver a ese lugar que no conocíamos pero que será difícil de olvidar.
In the hotel gardens we saw some beautiful parrots and we even took photos of them.
En los jardines del hotel vimos unos loros bellos y hasta fotos les sacamos.
A lot of people come here in seasons, it is quiet, beyond is the little town but we didn't go because time was short and we wanted to enjoy the beach.
Aquí viene bastante gente en temporadas, es tranquilo, más allá está el pueblito pero no fuimos porque el tiempo era corto y queríamos disfrutar de la playa.
