¡Saludos a todos los amigos del mundo! Hoy quiero mostrarles mis vacaciones en las hermosas playas de Ocumare de la Costa, en el estado Aragua (Venezuela), a donde he ido con mi hija.
It's not the first time we visit this place, its beaches are beautiful! We went by bus, from where I live to there the distance is two and a half hours one way.
Les cuento que no es la primera vez que visitamos este lugar, ¡sua playas son bellas! Nos fuimos en autobús, de donde vivo hasta allá la distancia es de dos horas y media sólo la ida.
Arriving there we stayed at an inn where we had stayed on other vacations. Near the inn there is a bus stop that makes the route to the most famous beach around here, we got on and in 15 minutes we arrived at Cata bay.
Llegando allá nos hospedamos en una posada en la que nos habíamos quedado en otras vacaciones. Cerca de la posada hay una parada de autobuses que hace la ruta a la playa más famosa por aquí, nos subimos y en 15 minutos llegamos a la bahía de Cata.
This place is very beautiful, surrounded by mountains and also a river that flows into the sea. How good it feels when you enter the water and look at the infinity of the sea, it is endless.
Este lugar es muy bonito, rodeado de montañas y también un río que desemboca en el mar. Qué bien se siente uno cuando entra en el agua y mira lo infinito del mar, es interminable.
This beach is a bit rough but people take precautions and do not go too far in, they enjoy as far as they can. Its coast is long with fine sand and it is a pleasure to walk along the shore at sunset watching the sun go down little by little.
Esta playa es algo brava pero la gente toma precauciones y no se mete muy adentro, disfruta hasta donde puede. Su costa es larga con arena fina y da placer caminar por la orilla en el atardecer viendo cómo el sol se esconde poco a poco.
We went into the part of the river that goes to the beach and it was very cold. Since it is not deep, children and older people bathe there as well.
Nos metimos en el pedazo de río que va hacia la playa y era muy frío. Como no es profundo ahí se bañan los niños y gente mayor también.
Here there are a few small beach food stands and delicious coconut sweets that are prepared here because there are many coconut trees, we saw how a boy climbed up to bring down coconuts.
Aquí hay unos que otros pequeños puestos de comida playera y ricos dulces de coco que aquí preparan porque hay muchos árboles cocoteros, vimos cómo subía un muchacho para bajar cocos.
We had a great time that day and returned to the inn at sunset. Then we went to an Italian restaurant and had a delicious "fosforera" dinner, which is a soup that has all kinds of seafood: shrimp, squid, mussels, crabs, fish and more, and to whet the appetite the house secret, a recipe of Nona (the owner of the restaurant), a rich appetizer made of eggplant with vinaigrette, a delicacy, we loved it. After dinner we walked to the malecon where at night many artisans sell their art, bracelets, earrings, necklaces, ceramics and other things. We stayed there until late and returned to the inn to sleep.
La pasamos chévere ese día y regresamos a la posada al caer el sol. Después fuimos a un restaurante de italianos y cenamos una rica fosforera, que es una sops que tiene todo tipo de frutos del mar: camarones, calamares, mejillones, cangrejos, pescado y más, y para abrir el apetito el secreto de la casa, una receta de la Nona (la dueña del restaurante), un rico aperitivo hecho de berenjenas a la vinagreta, un manjar, nos encantó. Después de cenar caminamos hacia el malecón en donde en las noches muchos artesanos venden su arte, pulseras, zarcillos, collares, cerámicas y otras cosas. Ahí nos quedamos hasta tarde y regresamos a la posada a dormir.
The next day we stayed all day at the Malecon beach, close to the inn. A wonderful sunny day and the beach was serene and beautiful with a view of the beautiful mountains around. Here we had the best time, when you get into the sea it's like a magnet that attracts you and doesn't let you leave, I love it.
Al día siguiente nos quedamos todo el día en la playa del malecón, cercana a la posada. Un día maravilloso y soleado y la playa serena y bien bonita con vista a las hermosas montañas a su alrededor. Aquí la pasamos de lo mejor, es que cuando uno se mete en el mar es como un imán que te atrae y no te deja salir, me encanta.
Here they always prepare tasty fish empanadas; refreshing salads that accompany the fried fish along with plantain tostones (fried), typical of the whole country.
Aquí siempre preparan empanadas con pescado, sabrosas; ensaladitas refrescantes que acompañan el pescado frito junto con tostones de plátano, típico de todo el país.
We walked along the shore and saw small crabs, they came out and crawled into some little holes in the sand. Behind the beach there is a small lagoon where birds like vultures come down to look for food and drink water.
Caminamos por la orilla y vimos pequeños cangrejos, salían y se metían en unos huequitos en la arena. Detrás de la playa hay una lagunita donde pájaros como el zamuro bajan para buscar comida y tomar agua.
We returned to the inn at sunset and later had a delicious pizza for dinner. Afterwards we strolled along the malecon, which is always full of people visiting this beautiful town.
Regresamos a la posada al atardecer y más tarde fuimos a cenar una deliciosa pizza. Después paseamos por el malecón, que siempre se llena de gente que visita este pueblo hermoso.
We also visited Catica, a beach in front of the bay of Cata, taking a boat to get there takes about 10 minutes. We stayed there until 4:00 pm because it is the last boat that passes by to pick up people. We had a great time, we enjoyed those days to the fullest and I thanked God for accompanying us until we returned home.
También visitamos Catica, una playa que queda al frente de la bahía de Cata, tomando una lancha para llegar toma como 10 minutos. Nos quedamos ahí hasta las 4:00 pm porque es la última lancha que pasa para buscar a la gente. La pasamos muy bien, disfrutamos al máximo esos días y agradecí a Dios que nos acompañó hasta el regreso a casa.
One feels a total renewal after enjoying a few days of vacation, and especially on the beach, who doesn't like it, tell me, I love the beach and whenever I can I go. We love this town and that is the reason why we have come here several times.
Uno siente una renovación total después de disfrutar unos días de vacaciones, y en especial en la playa, a quien no le guste que me lo diga, a mí me encanta la playa y siempre que puedo voy. Nos encanta este pueblo y esa es la razón por la que hemos venido en varias ocasiones.
