I have told you before about Lumbini, where I ate at a rather fancy restaurant in Yangon city. There I ate special food with flower shapes and also delicious masala tea. The place was really modern compared to other places in Yangon city.
Exiting the restaurant, I followed the path in front of me. Then it took me to a place that had interesting architecture and there was only one in Myanmar. It was a fairly large, modern and aesthetic building. It turned out to be a building that had a function, called the ‘Secretariat of Yangon’.
Wandering around to the limit where only foreigners could walk. Seeing how beautiful this place was, surrounded by many shady trees and also had a very large yard, you could even play ball there. It looked like an empty building that was not occupied, making me a little suspicious. Is this building still in use? There were some people cleaning the yard, but it still looked so worn out if I looked from the second floor up, the windows looked like thick dust.
The windows were open, but no one seemed to be in the building. Although I saw a car parked in front of the yard which turned out to be used as a parking lot.
The buildings had relatively striking colors. The natural brick color which is indeed made of bricks, not painted, but maybe it could be painted, I had a hard time distinguishing even seeing it up close and touching it.
More precisely, this building looks like a magic school that I saw in one of the Harry Potter series with a more colorful version. It was a bit scary especially when I was standing right in front of the building, because the building was empty and there was no one there, crows often made very loud sounds, so I got a little goosebumps and immediately left the place looking for the crowd.
I was behind the building which turned out to be very crowded, it turned out that there was a building that was specifically presented for a food hall or food and beverage area. Consisting of 6 famous big restaurants.
Beside the building there is a board that says directional map, as an explanation of the Yangon secretariat building. If seen from the map, there are 3 fountain pools, and several buildings that are used. The whole place has a fairly large area of about 16 hectares and is a place that is usually visited by tourists.
