Here I'm again, sharing about an amazing trek that leads to a Shiva temple and would recommend you all to visit as the temple is among one of the highest Shiva temples in the world. As you read the blog you will find out why one should go on this trek.
I'm talking about the tungnath trek with the distance of approximately 4.5 kilometres or 2.8 miles. For experienced trekker is was easy but for novice like me it was quite difficult but let's focus on the silver linings.
Once you reach Chopta you can trek or either take pony tail, but where's the kick if you jump on an aminal and prove your legs are useless unless they really are.
I was amazed by the spellbinding and picturesque view this trek offers from Chopta to Tungnath. These pictures tell us all.The epic scenery makes this trek a must - do for nature lovers. Are you the one?
The town is in full bloom and here the quality of air is incomparable, fresh and crisp. The peaks are covered with lush green cover of rhododendron and pine deodar trees which is why you see lots of pilgrims here along with the children.
I met lot of them, talked to few and they were more excited and enthusiastic then me. They also chalanged me to reach the top first.
In the middle of the trek I found stacked stone art, so I also made one. It was fun and may it remain there until I visit the place again.
Finally we reached Tungnath temple , which is one of the highest Shiva temples in the world with an astonishing elevation of 3680 meters above see level.
That's too much right, the oxygen is also low here at top and it's not advised to visit at night as it's extremely cold. This place also receive heavy snowfall during winters, which also makes it most difficult to reach during the most beautiful time of the year.
Located in the mountain range of Rudraprayag district of Uttrakhand this temple offers stunning views of the Himalayan landscape and provide a serene and spiritual atmosphere for meditation and worship.
It is among one of the Panch Kedar and it is believed that the arms of Shiva are here.
They are being worshipped here from eons.
Therefore it attracts pilgrim all over the world for it's spiritual significance.
That's all for this blog and I hope you like it.
All these pictures are taken by me with my camera Sony ZV-E10.
May God bless all.
