¿No les ha pasado que tienen cierto disgusto o poca cercanía con un lugar, hasta que se dan la oportunidad de conocerlo y se dan cuenta que siempre hay tiempo para retractarse y disfrutar de lo mucho o poco que nos ofrezca el lugar en el que vivimos?
Has it not happened to you that you have a certain disgust or little closeness to a place, until you give yourself the opportunity to get to know it and realize that there is always time to retract and enjoy how much or little the place where we live offers us?
Pues en mi caso, así fue, el día martes visite nuevamente el Malecón del Río, junto a mi pareja el cual nunca había podido conocerlo, al llegar, nos encontramos con una vista hermosa y lo que sería la cola del caimán que da inicio a la locación en la que se encuentran la diversidad de restaurantes del malecón.
Well, in my case, that's how it was, on Tuesday I visited the Malecón del Río again, together with my partner who had never been able to meet it, upon arrival, we found a beautiful view and what would be the tail of the alligator that begins the the location where the diversity of restaurants on the boardwalk are located.
En cada paso que dábamos era imposible no admirar cada espacio de este hermoso lugar, además, esa conexión directa con lo bonito de la naturaleza, lograr capturar el momento preciso en el que una hermosa garza blanca que estaba parada al borde la baranda que divide el río y luego sale volando sin duda alguna fue de los mejores momentos y el haberlo capturado es maravilloso.
In each step we took it was impossible not to admire every space of this beautiful place, in addition, that direct connection with the beauty of nature, to capture the precise moment in which a beautiful white heron that was standing on the edge of the railing that divides the river and then it flies off without a doubt it was one of the best moments and having captured it is wonderful.
El malecón no solo tiene vistas hermosas que te hacen conectar con la naturaleza, también, tiene algunos monumentos los cuales tienen a su lado un cartel que explica quiénes son y porqué están ahí, realmente es bastante llamativo llegar y encontrarse con cada uno de ellos, con los cuales además puedes tomarte lindas fotografías, pero como dicen sus carteles “sin tocar y con cuidado” es muy lindo, porque cada uno representa algo simbólico para Barranquilla, además de todo podemos apreciar algunos barcos que se posan en la orilla del Río.
The boardwalk not only has beautiful views that make you connect with nature, it also has some monuments which have a sign next to them that explains who they are and why they are there, it is really quite striking to arrive and meet each one of them. with which you can also take beautiful pictures, but as their posters say "without touching and with care" it is very nice, because each one represents something symbolic for Barranquilla, in addition to everything we can appreciate some boats that settle on the river bank.
El malecón en sí es bastante largo con 5,5 kilómetros, los cuales están muy bien distribuidos y la mayoría de sus espacios están cubiertos por vegetación, lo que lo convierte en un lugar bastante fresco, incluso con las altas temperaturas que suelen existir en Barranquilla.
El malecón cuenta con un personal el cual está dividido en varias secciones, entre ellas las personas que mantienen el lugar limpio y organizado, las personas que vigilan nuestra estadía para que sea más amena, incluso hay personas que te guían para que puedas disfrutar de los lugares más bonitos del malecón, la verdad todos fueron muy amables con nosotros e hicieron que nuestro paseo fue más gratificante y ameno, recordemos que son personas que deben ser tratadas con respeto y amabilidad.
Leyendo un poco más acerca de este sitio turístico, que de hecho, es uno de lo más visitados por los extranjeros en Barranquilla e indagando descubrí que en el año 2022 el malecón recibió un premio internacional “Architecture & Design Awards 2022” nominados en la categoría “Recreation Landscape Design Built” lo cual me pareció muy interesante, ya que, sin duda alguna fue un premio bastante merecido, ya que, se nota el esfuerzo depositado en lugar en cuanto a su arquitectura.
The boardwalk itself is quite long with 5.5 kilometers, which are very well distributed and most of its spaces are covered by vegetation, which makes it a fairly cool place, even with the high temperatures that usually exist in Barranquilla.
The boardwalk has a staff that is divided into several sections, among them the people who keep the place clean and organized, the people who monitor our stay to make it more enjoyable, there are even people who guide you so you can enjoy the most beautiful places on the boardwalk, the truth is that everyone was very kind to us and made our walk more rewarding and enjoyable, let's remember that they are people who must be treated with respect and kindness.
Reading a little more about this tourist site, which in fact, is one of the most visited by foreigners in Barranquilla and investigating, I discovered that in 2022 the boardwalk received an international award "Architecture & Design Awards 2022" nominated in the category "Recreation Landscape Design Built" which I found very interesting, since, without a doubt, it was a well-deserved award, since the effort put into place when it comes to its architecture is noticeable.
Referente al primer párrafo de mi post, les quería contar que tiempo atrás, no solía disfrutar lugares turísticos de Barranquilla, incluso me deje llevar un poco por algunas palabras que decían personas cercanas colombianas pero nacidas en otra ciudad, donde se referían a barranquilla “como una ciudad que no tenía nada de emocionante” comparado con otras ciudades de colombia que ellos habían visitado y explorado, pero más allá de eso, realmente nunca sacaba el espacio para explorar por mi propia cuenta los lugares turísticos que nos ofrece Barranquilla, hasta hace poco que decidí ir con mi pareja y me di cuenta que no podemos dejarnos llevar por las experiencias de las otras personas, no todos la pasamos igual en los mismos lugares, es importante darnos la oportunidad de conocer por nuestro propios medios y así, aprender a valorar lo que nos ofrece cada lugar al que visitamos, se que me falta mucho por conocer de Barranquilla, pero ir al malecón me hizo sentir tan agradecida de esta ciudad, que se, que cualquier lugar que conozca después de este, me encantará tanto como el malecón lo hizo.
Sin duda alguna si en algún momento llegan a visitar Barranquilla, les recomiendo con los ojos cerrados ir al Malecón y disfrutar todo lo que tiene para ofrecerle a sus visitantes, además, recordarles que siempre es necesario visitar nuevos lugares, turistear un poco nunca esta de más y darnos ese espacio para disfrutar de esos momentos tan gratificante que nos permite la vida experimentar y vivir a plenitud, ¡Hasta pronto!
Regarding the first paragraph of my post, I wanted to tell you that some time ago, I did not use to enjoy tourist places in Barranquilla, I even got carried away a bit by some words said by close Colombian people but born in another city, where they referred to Barranquilla "as a city that had nothing exciting" compared to other cities in Colombia that they had visited and explored, but beyond that, I never really took the space to explore on my own the tourist places that Barranquilla offers us, until recently I decided to go with my partner and I realized that we cannot let ourselves be carried away by the experiences of other people, not all of us have the same time in the same places, it is important to give ourselves the opportunity to discover ourselves and thus learn to value what each place we visit offers us, I know that I still have a lot to know about Barranquilla, but going to the boardwalk made me feel so grateful for this city, that I know, that any place I visit after this one, I will love it as much as the boardwalk did it.
Without a doubt if at any time you come to visit Barranquilla, I recommend you with your eyes closed to go to the Malecón and enjoy everything you have to offer your visitors, in addition, remind them that it is always necessary to visit new places, touring a little is never too much and give us that space to enjoy those moments so rewarding that life allows us to experience and live to the fullest, See you soon!
