Hello Hiver!
Today, I will take you to the beautiful Zamboanga del Norte, Mindanao, Philippines. Zamboanga del Norte is one of the provinces of Zamboanga Peninsula, which is called the Twin-City Province because it has two cities right next to each other - Dipolog City and Dapitan City. Dapitan City is where you can find the well-known Dakak Resort and the Jose Rizal Shrine, the place where Dr. Jose Rizal (Philippine National Hero) was exiled, and you can find his house and other belongings preserved for more than a century.

This time, let's take the opposite route, the Second and Third Districts of Zamboanga del Norte. I will walk you through my photos.
First Stop: SIAYAN, ZAMBOANGA DEL NORTE 2ND DISTRICT
Siayan is known as the hometown of Pangase Wine - a traditional wine of one of the native tribes of Zamboanga Peninsula, the Subanen. Pangase wine is made through fermenting rice, which is a significant part of their cultural identity.
Siayan is a small progressive town with breathtaking scenery. The mountains wrap the place carefully, and the roads are on top of the mountains, so you will enjoy their calmness and serenity while looking down below.
Second Stop: SINDANGAN, ZAMBOANGA DEL NORTE 2ND DISTRICT
The center of progress and development in the second district of Zamboanga del Norte. I should say, it is the richest municipality of the district. You can see it in their public plaza and the municipal hall itself.

It is the fishing capital of the province, where people from other places will go here to buy tons of fish and other seafood products. there are universities and colleges, and you can find cozy restaurants and hotels.
Third Stop: LEON B. POSTIGO, ZAMBOANGA DEL NORTE 3RD DISTRICT
A coastal municipality that is home to several tourist attractions, such as Samson Green Valley Beach Resort and Karim Mandangan Sanctuary. It is named after a Philippine Constabulary Corporal whose heirs donated 10 hectares of land to the town's local government.
The best thing about this municipality is its overlooking view from the municipal hall and residences down to the blue sea and skyline.
Last Stop: LILOY, ZAMBOANGA DEL NORTE 3RD DISTRICT
Liloy is an agricultural municipality whose economy relies on corn, rice, coconuts, peanuts, and root crops. Liloy is also rich in fruits and vegetables. It also has a coastal area where people go fishing as their source of living.
It is also the home of beautiful #summervibes beaches such as Little Siargao, Situbo Falls, Rock Dive Inn and Beach Resort, and more.
There is a lot more to discover about the hidden gems of Zamboanga del Norte waiting for you to discover them. For now, all I can give you is a glance I had at this very beautiful province.
Hopefully, in my next blogs, I can take you to Zamboanga Sibugay. Zamboanga Peninsula is composed of diverse ethnicities, yet this part of the country is truly beautiful, with warm people living in unity and peace. I was not born here, yet I love ZamPen.
See you again here in for my next destinations updates. Have a nice day, everyone, and God bless you.
