Hello everyone, in one of my previous posts I mentioned that in the coming days I will write about the trips I went on in the meantime. When it's winter, I travel less often, but I still go at least for a couple of days to some better places to get away from work and enjoy with my family. Today I will write about one of those trips, but this time not with my family but with my work colleagues. It was a team building on Fruska gora mountain in the north of Serbia, in the province of Vojvodina.
It was a perfect escape from everyday routines and a great opportunity to reconnect with nature and each other. We stayed at Vrdnicka kula, a charming accommodation surrounded by forest, offering peace, fresh air, and stunning views of the mountain landscape.
Even in the cold weather, the atmosphere felt warm and welcoming.
When we arrived, we had the opportunity to attend a very good stand-up comedy show in the grand hall where we had dinner and a party in the evening.
And in the meantime, one of the highlights of the trip was spending time at the Fruske terme swimming pools.
I love thermal pools, and it was especially enjoyable that I had the opportunity to relax a little alone without the children. But, I was not very impressed with the pools because after the Lasko thermal spa in Slovenia, which I adore, none of the thermal pools are good enough for me. 😊
The complex Fruske terme is impressively large, modern with both indoor and outdoor pools.
Several apartment buildings have been built around since the last time I was there. It was cold, so I didn't walk much.
Stepping into the warm thermal water while the cold air surrounded us was a great experience. It was relaxing, refreshing, and exactly what we needed after a walk.
In the morning I was exploring the surroundings and enjoying the clean air that only a mountain can offer.
Vrdnicka kula where we stayed was also surrounded by smaller guest houses, very comfortable for vacation, especially in spring when everything around turns green.
While I was walking alone, I saw a wooden church in front of the accommodation. It was a log cabin church dedicated to Saint George.
I went inside. It was peaceful and I liked the silence, to take a break and not talk to people for a while.
I was there for a short time and then we continued on our way to the place Rajska bajka (fairy tale paradise).
It was a restaurant hidden in the forest that I will have to visit again when the weather is nicer because the ambiance is beautiful.
We had a delicious lunch there, goulash with mushrooms, a real forest lunch. After lunch we headed back to Belgrade. I felt grateful at the end of the trip that the company we work for allowed us to relax a little and spend quality two days in this beautiful place.
Thank you for reading.
