Hello everyone. Summer is coming to an end and it's nice to enjoy it a little more, at least in photos. ๐ If you haven't had the opportunity to visit the island of Krk in Croatia, do it because you will be pleasantly surprised by its authenticity and beautiful nature. Recently, my sister visited Krk and shared photos with me. I have been to the island several times but I have never visited the Baska town before and I put it on my wish list of destinations that I want to visit.
Baska is a small fishing town on the Krk island, very specific in its beauty. It is very lively there and it seems to you that something is happening all the time. There is a lot of chatter and laughter in the streets. It is probably quieter in the off-season, but I would like to experience just such a vivid and lively atmosphere.
There are many beautiful viewpoints with breathtaking views.
And when you go down to the beach, that's where the real pleasure begins.
The coast is very long, so you can always find a comfortable place for yourself, in the natural shade.
The sea is crystal clear and there is one thing that is not typical for the Adriatic coast, and that is the sandy bottom of the sea. In almost all places on the Croatian coast, the beaches and the bottom of the sea are pebbly or rocky, and in Baska you will find sand.
One afternoon is definitely too short to visit this place, because in addition to the beautiful beach and nature, there are also historical sights such as the Native museum and Baska's glagolitic alphabet trail.
Whether you are traveling with family or friends, you will feel very welcome in this charming town.
The welcoming culture of the locals makes this a place you just have to love. There are many restaurants and cafes in the town, which are full of tourists during the summer.
And as in every Mediterranean city, here too you will see authentic narrow streets, stone houses, windows of bright and cheerful colors and impressive architecture.
I love the feeling when I walk through such cobbled streets where every corner tells its own island story. I feel at home there.
All island places are charming in their own way, and Baลกka is one of those places where you fall in love at first sight and are always happy to return.
Thank you very much for reading.
The images and writing are original and mine.
Greetings!
Jelena
