And the last but not the last post about my fall stay in Lasko, Slovenia, is finally here. Although I have written about this place before, every visit there is a new and unique experience and the photos are always very inspiring.
My last trip there was in November for my son's birthday. Our daily walk through the Savinja River valley was wrapped in deep autumn colors, leaves and the soft sound of water moving beside us.
It was one of those slow moments where you don't check your phone, just breathe and look around.
We stopped at a small restaurant where, unexpectedly, art meets comfort.
An exhibition of local bird pictures was impressive. This is the place of the most diverse birds.
It made the place feel more personal, almost like being invited into someone's story, with Lasko beer that always pleases, whatever the season.
And the burgers were just as always simple, rich, and exactly what you want after a long walk.
We were again accommodated in the Termana Park hotel, and the view from the hotel room of the Savinja River amazed me again and again every morning.
Morning light reflected on the water, making everything feel calm as the fog moved up.
And bathing in the thermal waters of this place was, as always, the best experience, at least for me. 😊
Moving between the indoor and outdoor thermal pools, surrounded by cool November air, was the highlight.
Warm water, silence, and that contrast between seasons... it's a feeling worth repeating.
I love the places I go back to.
Thank you for reading.
