Hello everyone, I hope you are doing well. I spent last week in Poreč, a beautiful, lively city in Istria - Croatia, and I will be glad to share my impressions with you.
When we arrived in Plava Laguna, the first impression was the cleanliness of the stunning natural environment in which the hotels and apartments are located. We were accommodated in Hotel Delfin. It is a budget hotel that exceeded our expectations. We were very pleased with the service and the food.
The hotel is old but very well maintained. In front of the hotel is a children's aqua park and swimming pools, which we only visited twice because we used every moment to be at the sea.
Every evening in front of the pool there was an organized program for children and adults with music. We were very tired in the evening so we usually slept at that time. 🙂
The hotel is surrounded by greenery and forest, through which you can reach the pebble beach, only 50 meters from the hotel.
The smell of conifers mixed with the smell of the Adriatic Sea is my favorite smell that always brings back fond memories of my childhood.
Below the hotel, there is a path through a landscaped park and a forest by the sea. The entire beach belongs to the hotel where we stayed. Although there were a lot of guests, there was enough space in the natural shade for everyone to relax.
The beach is very nice, but I didn't like the entrance to the water because of the stones. Pebbles are ok but I don't like sharp big stones in the water. That's why we soon changed the beach and found a beach nearby with small pebbles that suited our children better. The water was warmer and that beach gave us the real pleasure we wanted.
Above this beach, there is also a forest and a well-maintained long path in natural shade, very pleasant for walking. The climatic conditions are perfect because it is never too hot.
There are a lot of seagulls here, looking for a chance to steal some food from people. My son loved chasing them. 🙂
I don't drink coffee, but I liked this cup of coffee very much because of the message on it - without coffee, I am like without a head 🙂, so I took a photo of it.
We had a great time on the Adriatic coast. In a few days, we are going to Greece because it is our must-go destination every summer, but we also like Croatia very much and we don't miss the chance to visit it whenever we can.
In the next post, I will share with you photos of the beautiful Poreč town.
Thank you very much for reading.
The images and writing are original and mine.
Greetings!
Jelena
