Hello to all travellers around the world and in this community
Today I would like to tell you about a place I visited in the capital municipality of Playa (Havana, Cuba). The Marcelo Salado social club is located on 1st and 38th, with a spectacular view of the coast, as Cuba is surrounded by sea, which is a great advantage. Just feeling and smelling the sea is relaxing. You just have to close your eyes, breathe and feel it.
At first, I thought it was in Jaimanitas, as there is also a club there with the same name. Can you imagine, it happened to many people, ha ha ha 馃槀馃槀馃槀, and it's not easy to get around when you're not sure of the address, just the name...
We visited it because it was the venue for the Educator's Day celebrations on 22 December. The event took place on Friday 19 December and was organised by the Enrique Jos茅 Varona University of Pedagogical Sciences.
The place is a bit communist, to say the least, ha ha ha. In one of its rooms, a political ceremony was held to award educational decorations and medals, including to Maite, a librarian who has dedicated more than 50 years to that institution.
What I didn't like was that they didn't mention those teachers who unfortunately passed away this year. One of them is Ram贸n Cuetara, such a good man, and the university historian who gave his life for it, and it's not fair that they didn't pay tribute to him.
From the second floor, we photographed the main hall.
We saw this beautiful drawing engraved on the wall and stained glass window. (I will only include one.)
Then we went to the back and photographed the coastline. There were hardly any waves for this time of year, December.
This is a statue located outside the building.
There is a swimming pool, but like everything else in Cuba, it is just for decoration. Here you can see the deterioration of the place, but there is nothing like the natural landscape of the coast, which is very pleasant to look at until sunset.
That day, we took photos at the coastline and had fun....
Well, that's all for now, adventurers of the world. Cheers, everyone.
PS: Have you visited this social circle?
It wasn't the best celebration, but we had a different kind of day with our colleagues from the library and the staff, both teaching and non-teaching, from the university. And of course, my twin had to come along. Thank you,

PD: 驴
Gracias
