MY EXPERIENCE DISCOVERING TO THE RACH VEM, PHU QUOC.
Everyone who comes to Phu Quoc without checking in Rach Vem fishing village is a shortcoming. The coast is clear, blue and cool, with a special white sand beach called the Kingdom of Starfish Phu Quoc. In Rach Vem, there is no entrance fee, no entrance fee, so it's generally free. If you want to eat seafood, water, etc., I will count it separately
The most ideal time for people to visit Rach Vem is from October to March next year because at this time the sea is extremely calm and starfish appear a lot on the sandy beaches. However, if you come here in the summer from April to June, people will still have wonderful experiences with the blue sea, white sand, and sunshine. It's a little bit sunny, but the photos are super nice.
Rach Vem fishing village is located in the north of Phu Quoc island, about 20km from the centre of Phu Quoc, so I rented a motorbike for convenience. Going from the centre of Duong Dong, follow Hung Vuong Street, Temple of Cua Can Bridge, turn right at the 4 junctions, continue 1 section to the 3rd, turn left, go straight 5km to Rach Vem. Just follow Google Maps, it only takes about 30 minutes, the road is relatively clean and smooth, but there is still a fairly gradual dirt road. Because this area is still wild, following on google maps will have a wrong part, at this time I should ask the locals for directions to avoid wasting time.
Because it is located far from the centre, this area was also quite empty when I went with only a few people. I went in March, so the weather was quite sunny, so I rented an umbrella and bought 2 coconuts for refreshments. The seawater here is so clear that you can see the fine white sand right below. Come here to lie down on the white sand, listen to the sound of the waves, nothing is better than
Dubbed the "Kingdom of Starfish", there is a lot of starfish here. Because the sea is clear, people can see a lot of starfish lying on the bottom of the beach. Always look at what you love. Starfish are scattered, so if you want to take pictures of many stars, you have to go back and forth to get many stars. The day I went with him, I took the picture first, so the stars were arranged quite well.
However, when you want to take virtual pictures with these cute starfish, everyone should note that starfish are aquatic creatures, so limit holding them for too long or catching them on the shore and then arranging pictures to take pictures so that they don't. died. For those who love to take pictures, virtual living with starfish-like me is something not to be missed. Blue sea, white sand, yellow sun, starfish, it's a pity to come to Phu Quoc without going to Rach Vem.
Coming to Rach Vem, you are free to swim, the beach here is clear, the waves are not big, especially there are no guests, so it is suitable for swimming because I can't swim, I just stay near the shore to play. There is a changing room, freshwater bath, so it's very convenient. If anyone criticizes Rach Vem, it must be because it's raining, the weather is bad, should not go in the rainy season (May to the end of October), this time often has big waves, turbid water, so you won't see starfish. A lot of trash is dumped. In general, I really like this place, next time I have the opportunity to go to Phu Quoc I will come back
In Rach Vem, there are raft houses of local people, which are built in the sea, about 200-400m from the shore. Some famous raft houses can be visited: Love raft house, Thu Bao raft house, 343 raft house, Song Xanh raft house, Khanh Hao raft house, etc.
Some notes for the trip to Rach Vem Phu Quoc
- Remember to bring sunscreen, glasses, hats... to avoid skin damage because it's very sunny up there.
- Wear sandals, don't wear shoes because you have to move constantly on sand and water.
- If you ride a motorbike, you should fill up the tank with gas in Duong Dong town because the road is quite empty and there are few places to fill up
I really like the scenery here is very beautiful, peaceful, simple and still retains many wild features. It is a place worth going to when coming to Phu Quoc.
Thank you for taking the time to view my post. Wishing you good health and good luck.
