Siquijor Island is one of those places in the Philippines that is simply beautiful. With its inexplicable nature, pristine beaches and waterfalls, enchanting historical sites, and magical atmosphere, this island is a must-visit destination if you are in the Visayas.
From Cebu ride a Ceres Bus off to Dumaguete which passes by at the Bato Port and it took 4-5 hours of travel. An Ordinary Ferry or Fast Cat Ferry could take 2 hours or less than an hour from Dumaguete to Siquijor.
My friend's grandparents are from Lazi, Siquijor so definitely we had free accommodation plus lots of food because that time is Fiesta. The locals were very accommodating and kind to us.
The sister of my friend, who is more familiar with the place, gives us a tour. The
tour. The church at my back is the oldest in Town, Lazi Church.
The next stop was Cambugahay Falls; we my friends enjoyed swinging and jumping in the falls. I was just watching them because I can't swim 🙈
At Paliton beach, there are lots of locals swimming at that time because it's the weekend. Here you can swim, swing, and ride the famous fly with the broomstick
Again, Siquijor is a must go to visit Island, sadly, we did not explore all tourist spots because we don't have much time, but I am sure I will visit this place again.
Thank you for reading and see you on my next blog. Happy Holidays !
