A weekend trip to the region of Khevsureti (ხევსურეთი), Georgia
An adventure in one of the most remote part of the world, through incredible valleys to unforgettable mountains sights!
Good morning good evening good afternoon, travelers! Time is irrelevant, as we are here to talk about space, spaces we visit and spaces we become a part of!
Last weekend, I had the privilege to go on a two days hike in the northern mountains of Georgia, more to the east than last time and even less accessible! The path to go there is a bit tricky to drive on, but what stands before your eyes is worth the risk. What a magical place! Thanks to to be my photo savior!
First, let's have a look at the different forgotten fortresses/villages we visited, Shat'ili (შატილი) and Lebaiskari Tamarisdze (ლებაისკარის თამარისძეთ).
I would have loved to be an archeologist in another life
Then, the fantastic view over the mountains and into the valley!
The Ardoti guest house, where we stayed
No I wasn't on my phone, but checking out a funny looking flower!
And as a bonus, here are some pictures of the local flora and fauna, including the pics of a Golden Eagle!
