A day trip & hike to the Truso Gorges(თრუსოს ხეობა), Georgia
Through fantastic gorges of the Caucasus and forgotten villages, to the fortress of Zakagori (ზაქაგორის ციხე-სიმაგრე)!
Good morning good evening good afternoon, travelers! Time is irrelevant, as we are here to talk about space, spaces we visit and spaces we become a part of!
Two days ago, I had the chance to go on a day hike up in the mountains, in the remote Truso gorges of Georgia! Our adventure took us in the North of the country, closer to the Russian border, as well as the contested territory of Georgia, the Tskhinvali region (ცხინვალის რეგიონი) - or South Ossetia.

A bubbly sulfury smelly lake, going down a few KILOMETERS deep
The river going through the valley shows a whole variety of colours going from red to blue, because of the high iron and sulfur concentration in the ground. Sometimes, you can also come across bubbly mud puddles coming straight from hell's kitchen!
