Sault is the kingdom of lavender, especially during June and July the town is full of lavender fields which wave purple and fill the air with the heady, delicious fragrance of lavender. This small town is spread out along a low rocky promontory above the lavender fields and is also famous for its nougat and lavender honey.
There is a strong romantic sense every time we visited Sault. The charming alleys, the foods, the weekend market, the people, and the lavender aroma in the air. Our favorite activity is sitting in a cafe doing nothing and watching the day end. Enjoy!
Thank you for traveling with me!
This is part of my ongoing Travel Visualclips, where I shared a glimpse of my travel visuals and thought. Each series features a paragraph of the history of the place and a paragraph of my thought. Accompanied by no more than fifteen carefully curated images, each series is intended to give readers the umami of travel.
