Located on the Route Napoléon on the banks of the Durance river, Sisteron is also known as the "Pearl of Upper Provence". Due to its wealth, Sisteron was first fortified by the Counts of Forcalquier in the 11th century.
I enjoy exploring their small ruelles, walking along their narrow alley with the Baume rock in the background is just magical. This is one of those places that I can categorize as unique and unforgettable. Enjoy!
Thank you for traveling with me!
This is part of my ongoing Travel Visualclips, where I shared a glimpse of my travel visuals and thought. Each series features a paragraph of the history of the place and a paragraph of my thought. Accompanied by no more than fifteen carefully curated images, each series is intended to give readers the umami of travel.
