As November came and the sky went gray in the Netherlands, it was time to hit the road (or the sky again) to soak up some sun, warm temperatures and random coconuts again.
I remember heading to Vietnam a couple of years back and I was extremely impressed by the beauty of the country and the kindness of the people.
That trip was doing a lot of miles because the country is gigantic, and still I hardly seen a thing there. The country is growing fast as a big economy, and I have the feeling it will looking totally different in just a matter of years.
Wherever I go you can always find me in the ocean. If the sea is calm I fan float around for hours and when the sea has more waves, the instant nature is going back to when I was younger and jumping in the waves. For hours and hours at a time until the amount of inhaled salt water has reached its max.
But these waves were different. The wind is ruling whatever weather and the current was the undertaker in this. That means the sea wants you pull you further in, while the waves want to whack you on to the beach. The ultimate recipe for a lot of wipe outs.
Needless to say here that I was careful and looking out very much and never alone in the ocean in these conditions. Also..these are the moments that pools also are you best friend. Still...in the pool as well and by the windy palmtrees you can see that the wind is blowing strong.
From November on the dry season starts here, but that doesn’t mean windy season is gone. I was looking to visit some islands here but tons of boats are not going because of the winds and the waves.
You can't control nature in this one right?
Enjoying the scenery
Just the whole sight of seas and palmtrees is enough to give it a good chill vibe. What I also love a lot here is that there are so many natural elements used in in dressing the location. A little flower from the trees on a plate or in a little corner.
Or these small flowers in a bowl just on a table while they are also everywhere. Using a banana leaf as deco on a plate where food is on.
It all makes sense.
These palmtrees here seem a bit more planted but I also saw a lot of mangrove palms with their feet in the water. Unhabited areas except for the mosquito friends.
These views with the green over the water. You can't make me happier than with these kinds of farsights. Happy Sunday everyone! I know I am!
