In this post I want to show you the Copenhagen I saw during my first trip to the Danish capital. This city charmed me in many ways. I love to ride a bike and in Copenhagen I feel almost like in a cycling paradise. There are tons of bike paths in the city and even a bicycle highway, and you can also see a lot of bikers here, including dressed very elegantly. You can see that the bicycle is not only for athletes, but it is also an important means of transport for elegantly dressed women (riding in dresses and high heels), or businessmen in suits. Children are taken to school or kindergarten on bicycles, or women are taken on dates.
W tym poście chcę wam pokazać Kopenhagę jaką zobaczyłam podczas mojego pierwszego wyjazdu do duńskiej stolicy. To miasto oczarowało mnie pod wieloma względami. Jestem zapalona rowerzystką i w Kopenhadze sie niemal jak w rowerowym raju. W mieście znajduje się mnóstwo ścieżek dla rowerów, a nawet autostrada dla rowerów, a także można tu zobaczyć wielu rowerzystów, w tym ubranych bardzo elegancko. Widać, że rower nie jest jedynie dla sportowców, ale to ważny środek transportu również dla elegancko ubranych kobiet (jeżdżących w sukienkach i w butach na obcasach), czy też biznesmanów w garniturach. Na rowerach wozi się dzieci do szkoły, czy przedszkola, albo kobiety podczas randki.
I really like the tenement houses in the center of Copenhagen, as well as street lamps, suspended between the buildings. The tenement houses are mostly renovated, decorated in white, red tones. Often built of brick. They look very elegant.
Bardzo mi się podobają kamienice w centrum Kopenhagi a także lampy uliczne, zawieszone pomiędzy budynkami.Kamienice przeważnie są odnowione, utrzymane w biało, czerwonej tonacji. Czesto zbudowane z cegły. Wyglądają bardzo elegancko.
Coming back to the topic of bicycles, in Copenhagen you can see them on every corner. This is where I saw cargo bikes for the first time, with a large wooden container at the front, which can carry various things, including large dimensions, or other people.
Co do rowerów, w Kopenhadze widać je prawie na każdym rogu. Tu po raz pierwszy widziałam rowery towarowe, z dużym drewnianym pojemnikiem z przodu, w którym można przewozić różne rzeczy, w tym duże gabaryty, albo inne osoby.
In the very center of Copenhagen in the City Hall Square there are interesting monuments, incl. the Dragon Fountain.
The fountain stands just under 7 metres tall and the basin has a diameter of 3.1 metres. The central motif of the fountain is a bull fighting a dragon. On the edge of the basin sit three water-spraying dragons. Other decorations on the basin are inspired by Ancient Greek ornamentation.

W samym centrum Kopenhagi na Placu Ratuszowym znajdują się ciekawe zabytki, m.in. Fontanna Smoka.
Fontanna ma niecałe 7 metrów wysokości, a niecka ma średnicę 3,1 metra. Motywem przewodnim fontanny jest byk walczący ze smokiem. Na skraju fontanny siedzą trzy smoki rozpylające wodę. Inne dekoracje na niecce fontanny są inspirowane ornamentami starożytnej Grecji.

In Copenhagen, you can constantly see how skillfully tradition and modernity coexist. Traditional buildings recently built in a completely different, modern style, yet everything fits together.
W Kopenhadze nieustannie widać jak umiejętnie przeplata się tradycja z nowoczesnością. Tradycyjne budynki z wybudowanymi niedawno, w zupełnie innym stylu, a jednak wszystko do siebie pasuje.

Here you can see another tenement house built in Danish style, with many small red bricks and characteristic windows. I really like Danish construction.
Tu możecie zobaczyć kolejną kamienicę zbudowaną w duńskim stylu, z wielu małych czerwonych cegieł i charakterystyczne okna. Bardzo lubię duńskie budownictwo.
Finally, I want to show you an unusual bench for lovers, spray-painted with heart patterns.
Na koniec chcę wam pokazać nietypową ławeczkę dla zakochanych wysprejowaną w serca.
