Hello, friends! How are you doing today? I've got a fresh blog post for you that I think you’re really going to enjoy.
Our family went to Davao City to celebrate my cousin's birthday and house blessing. By the way, we travel from Cotabato City just for the occasion.
The day after the celebration, my sister and her husband surprised us with a trip to Kapatagan. It's another family bonding and all for free. Expenses paid by them and how generous they are and choose us to come with them.
It was early morning when the van driver picked us up at the condo. With our snacks and hearts full of excitement. We set off our long day trip to Kapatagan, Digos, Davao Del Sur. A serene that nestled in the highlands of Mindanao. So we are all a group of seven, three kids and four adults. All buzzing with excitement and even though our adventure hadn't really begun yet. Kids fell asleep during the long drive.
Our First Stop: Erry Cactus Farm.
It's a hidden gem in Kapatagan. When we arrived at the place. We were welcomed by the color burst of cactuses. Different rows of its vibrant cacti in different sizes and hues. I love the glowing golden yellow cactus. We were all captivated by its charm. The owner organized the cactuses property.
It's the garden desert of charming cactuses. There was a unique kind of cactus. The cactus is called Moon Cactus (Gymnocalycium mihanovichii) and the unique things is it grows in two parts.
Taking our time slowly walking to the organized cacti. It's like everyone was different and rare. The plant has its own story. They are all unique and I admire them a lot. They are not perfect plants like others but they really have something special. The bright colors contrasted beautifully against the earthy tones of the soil and pots.
It was surrounded by greenery and calming. It's far from the busy city. We stepped into a different place. Far from the noises, busy people and heavy traffic.
Before we left for our next destination. We bought cacti as souvenirs. Taking care of cacti they are low maintenance. Im felt so grateful for the unexpected trip and the amazing gesture and generosity of my sister and her husband.
Our first destination is not just ordinary sightseeing. Appreciating nature’s creativity and quality time with my loved ones are little things that make life more beautiful. The good thing in Kapatagan was the nature's charm that we found connection and happiness.
Thank all for today's. stay tuned for my next post!
See you soon!😍
