Of course, this was all because of Crash Landing On You. I probably watched that series 3 times, also replayed lots of my favorite scenes. I loved it so much that I was miserable when it was over. 😁
Iseltwald was just insanely beautiful. It was still early October when we drove to this charming lakeside village, but the autumn breeze had already started getting chilly and snowing up the mountains. I was worried about the looming rain clouds on our first morning, but it eventually cleared up right after giving us double rainbows!
Then, gradually its beauty started unfolding right in front of us. It felt so magical. The swans' presence couldn't be more perfect. They could get aggressive though, so we kept our distance.
These views were right in front of the Lake Lodge, where we spent 2 good nights. It was an old hostel (and affordable one) with free coffee and refreshments, picnic tables just in front of the lake. A couple of meters away, is the ferry terminal and Hyun Bin's lakeside stage. I apologize for the melting cheesy photographs. 😍
A few minute drive away is Interlaken, a busier town with various food and shopping options. We drove past it and went straight ahead to another paradise, Lauterbrunnen. This small valley village is home to about 70 waterfalls. We hiked for almost 2 hours towards Trümmelbach.
Before leaving, we hung out at a Horner Pub Hotel, a pub near the parking area for some coffee and late lunch. One wall was covered with photographs of base jumpers and paragliders who lost their lives while doing the extreme sports. I did not know how to react tbh. Anyway they served us delicious menu which I did not bother take pictures of due to so much hunger lol.
Our state of mind really gets influenced by our environment. We left Iseltwald with so much radiance of positivity. But of course, Kevin had to do his mischiefs.
