This morning in University of Nigeria, Nsukka the sky look totally different than usual. It was shrouded in dense grey clouds instead of the usual bright blue. The entire setting exuded tranquility, as if nature were taking a deep breath.
Standing jere and looking around, I noticed how the cloudy sky changed the mood of everything. The palm tree remained still, the buildings appeared quieter, and even the environment appeared more quite than usual.
Life tends to look off today. Even though there wasn't the usual rush, people are still busy. It felt like the sky was reminding everyone to pause, even if just for a moment. The sunlight was not harsh as usual, no sharp shadow just soft light spreading evenly across everything.
In my area Clouds are viewed by many as a sign of bad weather or sadness. But today, I saw something else. I saw a calm outlook. I saw honesty. The sky was not trying to impress or be in favor of anyone. It was just being what it was. And this made me think about life as a whole.
Every day is not bright. Not every day is full of energy and excitement. Some days are quiet. There are uncertain days. Some days feel heavy, just like these clouds. However, this does not mean that those days are pointless. We learn, develop, and prepare for better times on those quiet days occasionally. The sun is still there, even when we cannot see it.
The clouds may cover it, but they cannot remove it.
I was reminded by this sky that clouds in life circumstances are only temporary, They come, stay for some time, and then depart. Additionally, the light feels even more special as they pass. So today, I did not complain about the cloudy sky.
I appreciated this because it was still beautiful in its own quiet way even without sunlight.
