Yesterday was my day off, and I'm still in Central Java. So I decided to have a short escape near the mountain area. There are two mountains in Temanggung: Sumbing Mountain and Sindoro Mountain. We also called it: The Twin Mountain.
I'm pretty lucky because it's a tobacco harvest season. All you can see is the beautiful green leaves with a nice and authentic aroma. I'm not a big fan of cigarettes, but I love how tobacco leaves to smell.
So, that was a perfect time to look around the mountainside of the city.
My final destination is this place. His name is Embung Walitis. Embung is a reservoir or a place to store rainwater. In Temanggung there are many springs. But they also have several reservoirs to store rainwater to irrigate their fields.
The trip to this place takes about 20 minutes from the city center. Actually, the location is not too far, but the uphill and rocky road makes the journey not easy.
I used a 150cc motorbike to get to this place. And on the way, I had to stop several times because my motorbike was hot and smoking. Luckily it didn't explode.
Until this place, I just sit and enjoy the view. I wanted to buy warm noodle soup and hot tea that matched the cold air here. But in the end, I didn't buy it because I was lazy to walk to the food stall.
I've been here long enough. In this place, the cell phone signal is rather difficult to obtain. So this place is perfect for a short escape from all work.
