Hello friends,
In my previous post here I shared with you my first day experience at Los Angeles city. The next two days were even more delighting and a great pleasure travelling further.
We proceeded to Lake Hollywood Park on our second day after breakfast at the highly recommended Toast Cafe & Bakery, where we could get a better view of the Hollywood sign and enjoy the sun.
The Hollywood sign was initially Hollywood Land, which was put on a mountain to market real estate, but the Land half was blown away in the wind, and the sign became Hollywood years later. Did you realize that it has become the industry's symbol?
The next stop was Hollywood Boulevard, where we got a glimpse of the rest of Hollywood before moving on to the film industry. We may argue that Hollywood Boulevard, which is home to famous stars, the Chinese Theater, the Kodak Theater, and the Madame Tussoud Museum, is a tourist attraction.
Yes, all of the places I named are in the same area, if not right next to one another. As a result, this street is quite congested... There are those who lie down on the ground and pose with celebrities, and those who kiss celebrities.
Following Kodak's bankruptcy, the Kodak Theater was renamed the Dolby Theater, where the Oscars were held. We went to Melrose Avenue after eating at the Hooters restaurant chain. This neighborhood contains the renowned Paul Smith wall; we're not sure why it's famous, but if you want to go witness people snapping pictures while taking pictures, be aware of the local restrictions.
We took our fresh fruits for travel from the market area, where we didn't realize how quickly time had passed, and started out to Marine Del Rey. We enjoyed the beach, jogged, and had a good time at Marina Del Rey, which we arrived to after experiencing Los Angeles' weekend gridlock. Of course, Efe was ecstatic to have such a large park on the beach.
We set out for the sunset to Venice Beach, which is near by, after resting for a while at the Cheesecake Factory. Here, I believe, we had one of the most hilarious moments of our vacation. California's beaches, which are known for their sunsets, and the people who reside here do credit to this visual treat.
Many people got together to soak up the sun while walking on the beach on our rented bikes, playing, singing, playing, enjoying the moment, and passing by with this enthusiasm, we played and soaked up the sun in the sea. The sky had a beautiful color to it.
We enjoyed Venice Beach so much that it wouldn't be a lie if I said we spent the entire day there, recharging our batteries in preparation for the next day's tour of Universal Studios and Disneyland.
Our first trip on the morning of our third day was Beverly Hills, the city's other emblem. Who among us did not see the Beverly Hills cartoon as a child, which depicts barbie females with limousines, expensive automobiles, and fluffy hair?
To tell you the truth, I felt like I was on the set of a movie on this street. Beverly Hills is stunning, with its mansions, automobiles, and wide streets lined with huge palm trees soaring into the heavens.
We went to Rodeo Drive, which is close to the area, after breakfast at Beverly Hills Urth Cafe. This retail district, which features a variety of brands, is a great place to go sightseeing, spend time, and, of course, buy.
The Art Museum in the Downtown District was our next visit after an accelerated shopping tour.
As we neared the end of our journey in Los Angeles, we started off towards the California coast...
Finally, I'd want to mention something very significant about Los Angeles. In Los Angeles, having a car is a necessary, yet parking is a major issue. Parking lots are expensive; if you can find a suitable spot on the side of the road, you can save money. At this point, you must carefully examine the road signs to determine which hours and days you are permitted to park.
