Let me tell you a little of our "Land Down Under" which is the nickname for Australia we have been given that name because we are a country way below the Southern Hemisphere and we are the largest country in the Oceania and the world's sixth largest country by total area we have four major forms of land formations the Coastal Plains, the Eastern Highlands, the Central Lowlands and the Western Plateau and we are the biggest island in the world with all our beautiful surrounding coastlines.
Our coastline beaches are amongst some of the most spectacular beaches in the world that stretch for miles around the our continent with pure with sand , clear turquoise beaches and here today i am going to show you some famous well known beaches by Australian's and world tourist.
Whitehaven Beach one of the Whitsundays Islands in Australia is a 7 km stretch of pure white sandy beach simply heaven and paradise on earth we had the opportunity to visit this paradise before the covid-19 just simply to get away from the city life and just relax on the shore lines spotting turtles and other marine life while walking along the low tide waters.
Apart from swimming, snorkeling, laze on the sand you can take a hike through the tropical rainforest to the ocean lookouts you could also camp out in the rainforest if you were intending to stay longer but normally a day trip from Daydream island is where we staying is sufficient enough to enjoy the pure silica white sands and views and also what i liked about Whitehaven beach there is no infrastructure apart from a few toilets , boardwalks as viewing platforms, as well as some picnic areas on the south end but apart from that it's pure eco-nature.
Whitsunday Islands is made up of 74 beautiful tropical islands right in the heart of the Great Barrier Reef, we were actually starting in Daydream Island Resort and Spa which is one of the premier resorts in the Whitsunday Islands and from here you can take half day or full day trips to many of the other islands of your choice the ferries or speed boats will drop you off at your preferred island and leave you there to enjoy and do what you like till it's time for pick up and bring you back to your resort.
Daydream island is a little busier then some of the other islands as the whole island is more based around the resort which takes up most of the island this makes it more like a vibrant little city with lots of activities to be had all based around the resort you can even have Bingo & Trivia Nights little like small Las Vegas but if your not into that there are many other water activities like Kayaking , Paddle Boards, Snorkeling , Public Fish Feeding for kids to enjoy , glass bottom boat tours to see all the colorful coral of the Barrier Reef and much more.
Daydream Island is like a family focused island resort with the works but for us it was like been center in the middle of the Whitsunday Islands from here you could take many day tours to other white sand islands yet you had the picturesque rainforests and the crystal clear blue waters with with sand beach surrounding you it was a total fix of nature.
It didn't mater which of the 74 islands you were staying on or visiting for the day trip they are all heaven on earth paradises and on these natural playgrounds there are endless things to do including making friends with the surrounding wildlife like this White Cockatoo and little Wallaby visiting us every evening for some treats we thoroughly enjoyed our week on Daydream Island and visiting Airlie Beach and glorious Whitehaven Beach.
Whitsunday Island we will be back 🌞 😎 🌞
