Last week I had the opportunity to be in Italy. I managed to get flight tickets at a good price, so I packed my things, took my sister and my friend with me, and with just carry-on luggage we flew to Lamezia Terme. For our accommodation, I chose a small, charming town called Pizzo, and it is exactly this place that will be the main subject of today’s post.
Pizzo is a small town located in southern Italy, more precisely in the Calabria region. It lies on the Tyrrhenian Sea. It has a very typical southern Italian atmosphere—calm, slightly raw, but above all authentic. Here, you can truly feel the real Italy.
We arrived in the early evening. It took us a while to find our accommodation, as the town is one big maze. Narrow streets, stairs, countless passages, and very small distances between buildings. Even the navigation got confused in this place. 😁
Pizzo welcomed us with a beautiful sunset. The colors in the sky kept changing, creating a true spectacle.
W zeszłym tygodniu miałam okazję być we Włoszech. Udało się dostać bilety lotnicze w korzystnej cenie, także spakowałam swoje rzeczy, zabrałam ze sobą siostrę i koleżankę i z bagażem podręcznym poleciałyśmy do Lamezia Terme. Na miejsce noclegu wybrałam małe, urokliwe miasteczko o nazwie Pizzo i to właśnie ono będzie dzisiaj
bohaterem mojego posta.Pizzo to niewielkie miasteczko położone w południowych Włoszech, a dokładniej w regionie Kalabria. Leży nad Morzem Tyrreńskim. Ma bardzo typowy południowo-włoski klimat. Spokojny, zarazem trochę surowy, ale przede wszystkim autentyczny. Można tutaj poczuć prawdziwe Włochy.
Na miejsce dotarłyśmy wczesnym wieczorem. Chwilę nam zajęło, zanim znalazłyśmy nasze zakwaterowanie. Miasteczko to bowiem jeden wielki labirynt. Wąskie uliczki, schody, mnóstwo przejść, bardzo małe odległości pomiędzy budynkami. Nawet nawigacja gubiła się w tym miejscu. 😁
Pizo przywitało nas przepięknym zachodem słońca. Kolory na niebie co chwilę się zmieniały, tworząc istny spektakl.
We climbed a bit higher to admire the beautiful panorama of the town against the setting sun. It cost us a lot of energy, as the terrain there is quite demanding, but the views we had and could enjoy immediately made it all worthwhile.
Wdrapałyśmy się kawałek wyżej, aby podziwiać piękną panoramę miasteczka na tle zachodzącego słońca. Kosztowało nas to dużo pokładów naszej energii, gdyż teren jest tam dosyć wymagający, jednak widoki, które mogłyśmy podziwiać, od razu nam ten trud wynagrodziły.

We wandered around the area, exploring the narrow streets, immersing ourselves in the Italian atmosphere, and admiring the typical Italian architecture, already worn by time, yet creating an incredibly charming atmosphere.
Przechadzałyśmy się po okolicy, zwiedzając wąskie uliczki, zatapiając się w klimat włoski, podziwiając typową włoską architekturę, nadszarpniętą już co prawda zębem czasu, ale niesamowicie tworzącą urokliwy klimat.
The main square of Pizzo is small, but the town itself is also small. In the square, there are many good restaurants and ice cream shops, as well as a small church.
Ryneczek Pizzo jest niewielki, ale też niewielka jest również samo miasteczko. Na rynku znajduje się mnóstwo dobrych restauracji i lodziarni, jak również mały kościółek.
There is also a small castle near the square, which is a source of pride for this place. However, I will show you photos of the castle another time. I will tell you honestly that this town completely stole my heart. All those little corners, hidden spots, and the whole architecture have an incredible atmosphere. It is definitely a place for anyone who wants to see real Italian life, away from mass tourism.
We met many kind people along the way. It was one of my better trips, and I will remember it very fondly for a long time.
Przy rynku znajduje się również niewielki zameczek, będący dumą tego miejsca. Zdjęcia zamku pokażę wam jednak kiedy indziej. Przez ten weekend zrobiłam mnóstwo zdjęć i z pewnością pojawi się jeszcze na moim profilu kilka postów z miasteczka Pizzo i okolicy.
Powiem Wam szczerze, że miasteczko skradło moje serce totalnie. Te wszystkie zakamarki, zakątki, cała ta architektura ma w sobie niesamowity klimat. Z pewnością jest to miejsce dla każdego, kto chce zobaczyć prawdziwe włoskie życie z dala od masowych turystów.
Spotkałyśmy na swojej drodze mnóstwo życzliwych ludzi. Był to jeden z lepszych moich wypadów i będę wspominać to bardzo miło jeszcze przez długi czas.
