Today I woke up with good mood and found some pictures I took during my trip to Russia two years ago. So as Russia traveling part 1, I would like to share with you about a place, called " The Winter Palace " in Saint Petersburg, An ideal destination for art lovers.
The Winter Palace is a superficial architectural work, located on the south embankment of the Neva River, in the ancient capital of Saint Petersburg, Russia.
Address: Palace Embankment, 32, Saint Petersburg, Russia.
Opening Time:
Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday, Sunday: The palace is open to welcome visitors from 10:30 a.m. to 6 p.m
Wednesday, Friday: The palace is open from 10:30 a.m. to 9 p.m.
Note: The Winter Palace and Hermitage Museum complex will be closed on Mondays, January 1 and May 9 (Victory holiday in Russia).
And: Remember things below before come into Palace:
Do not bring bottled drinks
Do not bring food
Do not bring suitcases and bags
Do not take pictures with flash
Currently, the Winter Palace is part of the Hermitage Museum, one of the three largest art museums in the world, which displays 3 million valuable works.
The palace is Baroque in style, designed by Italian architect Francesco Bartolomeo Rastrelli, at the request of Queen Elizabeth with Baroque art style.The palace is located on an area of 90,000m2 with more than 700 rooms decorated lavishly and splendidly. In the history of Russian architectural art, the Winter Palace is considered a pride when it is considered the greatest work.
