It doesn't matter how many times you've previously gone on a trip to some mountainous place: you will always find something new to do. And that's the nice thing about the trails, there are so many to explore that you could never get bored. This summer I had the opportunity to visit the city of Bariloche to meet a new friend, with whom we planned to go on a few hikes. We were both in good physical shape, so it was no problem for us to walk throughout the day. Plus, the landscapes we had around us were worth it ❤️.
No importa cuántas veces hayas ido de viaje previamente a algún lugar montañoso: siempre vas a encontrar algo nuevo para hacer. Y eso es lo lindo que tienen los senderos, que son tantos por explorar que nunca podrías aburrirte. Este verano tuve la oportunidad de visitar la ciudad de Bariloche para encontrarme con un amigo nuevo, con el que planeamos realizar unas cuantas caminatas. Los dos estábamos en buen estado físico, por lo que no fue problema para nosotros caminar durante todo el día. Además, los paisajes que teníamos alrededor lo valían ❤️.
My friend and I had planned a tight itinerary to tour Bariloche in the three full days we would have together. Our idea was to visit places that were not the usual tourist ones, in search of some new adventures. One of them was to visit Cerro Otto, an emblem of the city, but we did it walking while most people go up on the chairlift. The confectionery is located on the hill, but since you had to pay to enter and that was not in our plans, we knew that once up there we would have plenty of time 😃.
Mi amigo y yo habíamos planificado un ajustado itinerario para recorrer Bariloche en los tres días completos que tendríamos juntos. Nuestra idea era conocer lugares que no fueran los turísticos de siempre, en busca de algunas nuevas aventuras. Una de ellas fui visitar el Cerro Otto, un emblema de la ciudad, pero lo hicimos caminando mientras que la mayoría de la gente sube en la aerosilla. En el cerro se encuentra la confitería, pero como había que pagar para entrar y eso no estaba en nuestros planes, sabíamos que una vez arriba nos iba a sobrar bastante tiempo 😃.
Once up there, we started asking what else we could do, taking advantage of the fact that getting to the candy store had only taken us an hour. Luckily, we met some girls who had just returned from a nearby viewing point called the Habsburg Stone and they recommended us to go. They told us that it would only be one more hour of walking in the forest, without much difficulty and that the view was worth going there 😃.
Una vez ahí arriba, empezamos a preguntar qué más podíamos hacer aprovechando que llegar hasta la confitería solo nos había tomado una hora. Por suerte, nos encontramos con unas chicas que recién habían vuelto de un punto panorámico cercano llamado la Piedra de Habsburgo y nos recomendaron ir. Nos dijeron que solo sería una hora más de caminata en el bosque, sin tanta dificultad y que por la vista valía la pena acercarse hasta allá 😃.
My friend and I didn't hesitate to go (plus the trail was well marked on Maps.me, our offline maps), so we started the hike. It went pretty quickly because we were chatting about so many things that time flew by. By the time we finally arrived, we found a large stone with metal ladder access, which made us believe that this place was not as unknown as we thought ❣️.
Mi amigo y yo no dudamos en ir (además de que el sendero estaba bien señalizado en Maps.me, nuestros mapas sin conexión), por lo que emprendimos la caminata. Se nos hizo bastante rápido porque fuimos charlando de tantas cosas que el tiempo llegó volando. Para cuando finalmente llegamos, nos encontramos con una gran piedra con un acceso por escalera de metal, lo que nos hizo creer que este lugar no era tan desconocido como creíamos ❣️.
Indeed, the view from there was beautiful. From that point, we could see a large part of Lago Gutiérrez, as well as the towns near Bariloche, such as Dina Huapi, Villa los Cohiues and Villa Lago Gutiérrez. I was surprised I hadn't read about this trail on the internet, given that it has such a beautiful location. Well, all the surroundings of Bariloche are truly wonderful ❤️.
Efectivamente, la vista desde ahí era preciosa. Desde ese punto, podíamos ver una gran parte del Lago Gutiérrez, además de los pueblos cercanos a Bariloche, como Dina Huapi, Villa los Cohiues y Villa Lago Gutiérrez. Me sorprendió no haber leído sobre este sendero en internet, siendo que tiene tan linda ubicación. Bueno, todos los alrededores de Bariloche son maravillosos en verdad ❤️.
When the day started we thought it was going to rain, but luckily it just stayed cloudy all afternoon. Not even the somewhat unstable weather could overshadow these landscapes because they looked great anyway. Visiting Bariloche is never a waste of time and it is understandable why year after year, it is filled with national tourists and also from all over the world. It makes me happy to have discovered another little corner, and that it was as beautiful as everything I had seen so far ❤️.
Cuando empezó el día pensamos que iba a llover, pero por suerte solo se mantuvo nublado toda la tarde. Ni siquiera el clima algo inestable logró opacar estos paisajes porque se veían geniales de todos modos. Visitar Bariloche nunca es un desperdicio de tiempo y es entendible por qué año tras año, se llena de turistas nacionales y también de todas partes del mundo. Me pone feliz haber conocido otro rinconcito, y que haya sido tan lindo como todo lo que había visto hasta el momento ❤️.
