In these last three years in which I began to travel to see my beautiful country Argentina, I was able to see a large number of beautiful landscapes. They all had their distinctive touch and will be kept forever in my heart. I really liked everything I saw and it would be difficult to choose the most beautiful of each one, but if I had to say what I liked the most about my last autumn trip to the south of the country, I would say the incredible lakes we saw. This region is characterized by its immense mirrors of water, which you have a hard time believing are real even if you have them right in front of you ❤️.
En estos últimos tres años en los que empecé a viajar para conocer mi hermoso país Argentina, pude ver una gran cantidad de paisajes hermosos. Todos tuvieron su toque distintivo y van a quedar guardados para siempre en mi corazón. Todo lo que vi me gustó mucho y sería difícil elegir lo más lindo de cada uno, pero si tuviera que decir qué fue lo que más me gustó de mi último viaje otoñal al sur del país, diría que los lagos increíbles que vimos. Esta región se caracteriza por sus inmensos espejos de agua, de los que te cuesta creer que son reales aunque los tengas justo en frente ❤️.
The trip that my friend and I took began with a little doubt about choosing a winter destination in the fall, but in the end everything turned out better than expected. The good weather and the sun accompanied us on all the short walks we took, allowing us to enjoy our trip to the fullest. One of the things we wanted to do during our stay in Villa La Angostura, in the province of Neuquén, was to get to the famous Arrayanes Forest. As it was on the other side of San Patricio Bay, we headed to that area in the morning 😃.
El viaje que hicimos mi amiga y yo empezó con un poco de dudas por elegir un destino invernal en otoño, pero al fin de cuentas todo salió mejor que lo esperado. El buen clima y el sol nos acompañaron en todos los pequeños paseos que dimos, haciendo que pudiéramos difrutar nuestro viaje al máximo. Una de las cosas que queríamos hacer durante nuestra estadía en Villa La Angostura, en la provincia de Neuquén, era llegar hasta el famoso Bosque de Arrayanes. Como quedaba del otro lado de la Bahía de San Patricio, nos dirigimos a esa zona en horas de la mañana 😃.
There are several ways to get to the Arrayanes Forest and you can choose freely. One of them is by navigating the lake, which takes you there in a 40-minute walk. The other is walking through the forest, on a trek of medium difficulty of four hours per section, or by bicycle along the same path, taking around three hours. According to your time and budget for this trip, you can choose how to get there, but what you have to pay regardless of the chosen method is the entrance to the Arrayanes National Park, which cost us 1,200 ARS (approximately 2 USD) for Argentine residents. . You only pay this fee if you want to get to the Arrayanes Forest: if you only want to stay around the port, you don't have to pay anything 😃.
Hay varias formas de llegar hasta el Bosque de Arrayanes y se puede elegir libremente. Una de ellas es mediante una navegación por el lago, la cual te lleva hasta ahí en un paseo de 40 minutos. La otra es caminando por el bosque, en un trekking de dificultad media de cuatro horas por tramo, o sino en bicicleta por el mismo sendero, tardando alrededor de tres horas. De acuerdo a tu tiempo y a presupuesto para este viaje, se puede elegir de qué forma llegar, pero lo que hay que pagar independientemente del método elegido, es la entrada al Parque Nacional Arrayanes que nos costó 1200 ARS (2 USD aprox) para residentes argentinos. Solo se paga esta tarifa si se desea llegar hasta el Bosque de Arrayanes: en caso de que solo quieras quedarte en los alrededores del puerto, no hay que pagar nada 😃.
While I was in the tranquility of my home designing the itinerary that my friend and I would have on this trip, I had stated that we would reach the forest walking there and back. After having walked so much on my trip in El Chaltén, province of Santa Cruz, I felt with a lot of energy to overcome any hike in front of me. But when we arrived at the port and asked about the prices of the sailings, they really weren't that expensive. In April, the round trip sailing to the Arrayanes Forest cost 8,000 ARS (approximately 12 USD), while a single section cost 6,000 ARS (10 USD). Of course these uneven prices are so that people could choose the round trip, BUT my friend and I still wanted to walk a little. Finally we decided to go by boat and walk back, to live both experiences 😃.
Mientras estaba en la tranquilidad de mi hogar diseñando el itinerario que mi amiga y yo tendríamos en este viaje, había puesto que llegaríamos al bosque caminando de ida y vuelta. Después de haber caminado tanto en mi viaje en El Chaltén, provincia de Santa Cruz, me sentía con mucha energía para superar cualquier caminata que tuviera enfrente. Pero cuando llegamos al puerto y consultamos por los precios de las navegaciones, realmente no eran tan costosas. En Abril, el tramo ida y vuelta navegando hasta el Bosque de Arrayanes costaba 8000 ARS (12 USD aprox), mientras que un solo tramo costaba 6000 ARS (10 USD). Por supuesto estos precios tan desparejos son para que la gente eligiera el recorrido de ida y vuelta, PERO mi amiga y yo todavía teníamos ganas de caminar un poco. Finalmente nos decidimos por ir en barco y volver caminando, como para vivir las dos experiencias 😃.
The trip across the lake was made by small boat departing from the Mansa Bay area to the San Patricio Bay area. Something that caught my attention about this excursion is that, unlike other boat trips I have taken, they did not make us wear life jackets. Maybe that's why it was so cheap 😅.
El viaje a través del lago se realizaba una pequeña embarcación partiendo desde la zona de la Bahía Mansa hasta la zona de la Bahía de San Patricio. Algo que me llamó la atención de esta excursión es que, a diferencia de otros paseos en barco que he dado, no nos hicieron poner chalecos guardavidas. Quizás por eso era tan barato 😅.
With my little knowledge about embarking, I could say that the day was ideal for a boat ride. There was almost no wind and the lake was completely flat and crystal clear. The only waves in the water were the ones we made with our vehicle, so everything was perfect for us 😃. The area of Villa La Angostura is one of the most expensive in the country to live in and its beauty completely justifies the cost. During the first minutes of the walk we could see a landscape with very blue water where the mountains were reflected with all their radiant colors ❣️.
Con mi poco conocimiento sobre embarcarse, podría decir que el día estaba ideal para dar un paseo en barco. No había casi nada de viento y el lago estaba completamente plano y cristalino. Las únicas olas que habían en el agua eran las que formabamos nosotros con nuestro vehículo, así que todo fue perfecto para nosotros 😃. La zona de villa La Angostura es una de las más costosas del país para vivir y su hermosura justifica completamente el costo. Durante los primeros minutos del paseo pudimos ver un paisaje con el agua muy azul donde las montañas se reflejaban con todos sus colores radiantes ❣️.
But a few minutes later we approached the most characteristic areas of the Villa La Angostura lakes: those with their turquoise water. Little by little, the landscape added a touch of green to its mountains and the water looked completely different from what we had seen until that moment 😃.
Pero unos minutos después nos acercamos a las zonas más características de los lagos de Villa La Angostura: aquellas con su agua turquesa. Poco a poco, el paisaje fue agregando un toque de verde en sus montañas y el agua se veía completamente diferente a lo que habíamos visto hasta ese momento 😃.
In Villa La Angostura, the bottom of the lakes is made of whitish sand that makes the water look this incredible turquoise color in the shallower areas. When I saw photos about this place, I thought that these colors couldn't be real and that the photos would have some kind of editing, but believe me friends, it looked exactly like that and even more beautiful ❤️.
En Villa La Angostura, el fondo de los lagos es de una arenilla blanquecina que hace que en las zonas menos profundas, el agua de vea de este color turquesa increíble. Cuando yo veía fotos sobre este lugar, pensaba que estos colores no podían ser reales y que las fotos tendrían algún tipo de edición, pero créanme amigos que se veía exactamente así y aún más hermoso ❤️.
It was obvious that the boat driver really liked his job because he decided to take us to what he called his "favorite part of the bay." It was an area where the water is so clear and beautiful that you can see some trees that are submerged in the lake. It looked like they were close, but according to our guide, that would be more than two meters deep. The beach in this area is a beach that is difficult for people to access, so I am glad that it is because it was kept in perfect condition 😃.
Se notaba mucho que al conductor del barco le gustaba mucho su trabajo porque decidió llevarnos hasta lo que él denominó su "parte favorita de la bahía". Se trataba de una zona en donde el agua es tan clara y hermosa que se ven algunos árboles que estan sumergidos en el lago. Parecía que estaban cerca, pero según nuestro guía, eso estaría a más de dos metros de profundidad. La playa en esta zona es una playa de difícil acceso para las personas, así que me alegro de que así sea porque se mantenía en perfectas condiciones 😃.
Our ride was calm and pleasant, so much so that I was glad that it was within our travel budget. I had visited Villa La Angostura in the summer, but I didn't have the opportunity to do any sailing trips, so it was good to be able to return. The landscapes of southern Argentina are the most beautiful and if you want to be surprised, you definitely have to come visit us 💖.
Nuestro paseo fue tranquilo y placentero, tanto que me alegré de que estuviera al alcance de nuestro presupuesto viajero. Yo había visitado Villa La Angostura en verano, pero no tuve la oportunidad de hacer algún paseo de navegación, así que fue bueno poder volver. Los paisajes del sur de Argentina son los más hermosos y si te querés sorprender, definitivamente tenes que venir a visitarnos 💖.
The boat trip left us at the port of Bosque de Arrayanes, where the park gate was so we didn't have to walk far to the entrance. When we arrived, my friend and I sighed and realized that all the distance we had done in less than an hour was going to have to be walked back through the forest. But it wasn't time to think about that yet, so we decided to enjoy our afternoon before it was time for the trekking 😅.
El viaje en barco nos dejó en el puerto del Bosque de Arrayanes, en donde estaba la puerta del parque así que no tuvimos que caminar mucho hasta la entrada. Cuando llegamos, mi amiga y yo suspiramos y caímos en la cuenta de que todo ese recorrido que habíamos hecho en menos de una hora iba a tener que ser retrocedido a pie por el bosque. Pero todavía no era momento de pensar en eso, así que nos propusimos disfrutar nuestra tarde antes de que llegue el momento de la caminata 😅.
