Hellp everyone!
You know living in Baler, Aurora, is pretty sweet. We are always surrounded by the ocean on one side and mountains on the other. It's like nature's best of both worlds, right? One afternoon i just felt like taking a little break and seeing things from a different angle.
I wanted to find that perfect spot you know where I could just take it all in. So I decided to head up Ermita Hills. That was my mission for the day to find the absolute best view where the land sea and sky all came together in one amazing picture.
I had a feeling it was going to be a good adventure and I was really looking forward to it. The drive up there was already cool. As I went higher the air started to smell super fresh a mix of the ocean and the trees.
It’s a nice change from the usual town smells kind of clearing your head. It started to feel like I was really leaving the everyday behind. Soon enough the regular road turned into more of a path and that’s when the real adventure began.
The sun was peeking through the leaves of the big trees making these cool moving patterns on the ground. It was quiet too, with just birds chirping and leaves rustling. No city noise at all which was really nice.
It felt like a good warm up for what was coming like nature was setting the scene. The peaceful sounds made me feel calm and ready to see the amazing sights. I kept walking and the path sometimes had steps sometimes just dirt.
It winded through lots of green trees. Every now and then the trees would open up and i had get these awesome, quick peeks of the big blue ocean down below. It sparkled so much! Those little glimpses just made me want to get to the very top even more to see everything all at once.
I passed by some little areas with railings and they offered some nice views but I was looking for something bigger something where the horizon just stretched on forever. I wanted to see the whole picture of Baler’s amazing nature.
Finally after a good walk up I made it to one of the main viewing spots at Ermita Hills. And wow just wow. The whole world just opened up beneath me. It was even better than those quick peeks! It was everything I hoped for and more.
To my left there was the long golden beach curving all the way out. You could see the waves gently rolling in little white lines on the huge blue ocean. I could even spot the bridge way out there looking tiny from up high.
It was cool to see a little bit of town life mixed with all that nature. Then I looked to my right and the view changed a bit. It was still the ocean but this part looked a bit wilder with cool rocks sticking out of the water.
It was super blue over there too just a slightly different vibe. This side felt a bit more untouched, you know? And way out the Pacific Ocean just kept going and going. It makes you feel pretty small in a good way like you are part of something much bigger.
The sky was perfect too a soft blue with fluffy clouds just making everything look super chill and calm. It was truly a postcard perfect view. But I was not done searching for my "perfect spot" just yet. I saw a nice looking gazebo a little further along the ridge.
It was surrounded by some grass and a few trees and it just looked like a comfy place to hang out. A few other people were there just chilling chatting and taking pictures. The gazebo itself was pretty and it framed the ocean view really well. From there I could see even more of the town nestled against the mountains like a quilt of green and houses.
