If you live in Cuba you think there is no new place to go on vacation with your friends and family I tell you that you are wrong. I recently did a post about Puerto Escondido, an ideal place to break away from the routine and I was surprised by many comments from people who did not know that there were such nice and accessible places, so today I bring you another proposal, Canasi. This territory is full of beautiful views and is perfect to get away from domestic life. I went a while ago and I must warn you that if you like life in nature, it is possible that one day is not enough, although that is not a problem, because if you are looking for a place to camp, this place is special.
There are activities for all kinds of people, if you like to explore and you are always looking for adventure, you can climb the mountain and I assure you that you will not regret it, because what you find at the top is nothing more than the best place to observe the beauty of the panorama. The way up is not far behind, the whole environment makes the trip a pleasant one. The viewpoint, located at the top, gives you the option to see the best landscapes and is a unique experience, no photo can express what you feel at that moment, when you are face to face with the immensity.
There are several areas if you are interested in spending it quietly and just enjoy in calm. There is no place more serene than the coast, the sound of the waves breaking against the rocks, the smell of the sea, the clear sky, everything is so peaceful that it is impossible not to relax. Besides the coast you can find remote places like small cliffs or cliffs that cause the same effect. To see a sunset or a sunrise, I think they are the best seat.
For a dip there are also several options. The beaches are small, some have rocks and sea urchins, others when I went were polluted with garbage or had a lot of waves, of all the things Canasi has to offer, the beaches are not the best option. You can try bathing in the river, although it was not my favorite either, as the bottom is muddy and the water is so murky that you can barely see your feet. As a third option you can bathe in a place that some call El Caldero or La Cazuela.
I want to go deeper into the latter, La Cazuela. It is a rock formation and its name is given by its geographical shape. It is special for bathing, from the top to the water has a somewhat considerable height but for those who live on the edge comes as a ring to the finger. Unlike the beaches or the river the water is clear and clean, it has a crystalline blue color that suggests to be quite refreshing. The rocks hide a small cave that gives a special touch to the area and can be laborious for some to go back up but it is completely worth it. This was undoubtedly one of the activities that I enjoyed the most, totally recommended.
In conclusion, Canasi is the proof of why Christopher Columbus said that Cuba was the most beautiful land that human eyes have ever seen. This was one of the best places I have ever been to, every moment made me feel so alive and I wanted to share it with you.
