Hello everyone.. How are you? I hope you guys are fine. After a long time not being able to share my experiences in writing Hive posts, this time I want to share my experiences on a journey, which I have wanted to dream of for a long time. And in the end, on December 12, 2021, I succeeded in realizing my old dream to visit an island called Sabang Island.
Gua Sarang
Monday December 13th, my cousin and I left for the port of Ulee Lheu at 6 am to buy 2 boat tickets to cross the ocean to return to Sabang which is located at the tip of the island of Sumatra. The distance of the ship that we were riding took about 80 minutes with a maximum boat speed of 20km/hour. And after arriving at the port of Balohan on the island of Sabang, my cousin and I looked for lodging to rest for a while and put our luggage before we left for the Sarang Cave tourist spot.
To reach the Sarang Cave tourist site, we have to travel about 20 km from the inn in the city of Sabang or Sabang Fair.
Gua Sarang
To get to the location of the Nest Cave point, we had to hire a speed bot to take us to that location. Not too far from the beach maybe only 500 meters from the location where we met the tour guide.
The clear and green sea water adds to the existing beauty, there are several cave holes filled with wallet birds. In addition, the surface of the clear water can be seen many small fish swimming and also squid.
After seeing the beauty of the Sarang Cave tourist location, we decided to go to a location that is also very famous in the Sabang island area, Kilometer 0 Indonesia.
The journey to Kilometer 0 is not too far from the Sarang Cave tourist site.
This monument is one of the unique tourist attractions and also pride for the Acehnese people, especially those on the island of Sabang. The Kilometer 0 Monument was inaugurated on September 9, 1997 by the vice president of the Republic of Indonesia.
The beauty of the city and Sunset
After we finished visiting the tourist attractions Kilometer 0 Indonesia Monument, we finally decided to return to the city of Sabang close to the inn.
Along the road in the city of Sabang, the sea is so blue and beautiful. I myself was amazed to see this city because of the beauty of the wide and blue ocean, and the cleanliness of the city along the roads and beaches made me very amazed by this island.

Next Day
The next day we went to visit several tourist attractions which also have very beautiful natural panoramas to enjoy. And of course this cannot be separated from the beach, because the island is surrounded by a vast ocean.
Rubiah Island
Before deciding to go home, we decided to visit a small island called Rubiah Island. Located on the beach and this is one of the most famous tourist destinations in Sabang. This island is commonly used by local and foreign tourists to see various types of fish that are on the coast of Rubiah Island. In this tourist spot also provides a variety of diving and snorkeling equipment. And for a complete set of snorkeling equipment for rent for Rp.50,000.
To cross to Rubiah Island, we also had to rent a small boat and take us back home. And on Rubiah Island there are also several food and beverage stalls and snorkeling equipment rental places.
This location is very suitable as a snorkeling spot for tourists who like the underwater world, because thousands of species of fish and other marine biota are still very well preserved. besides that, the beach which has very white sand is also easy access to locations that add to the attraction for local and foreign tourists.
