Our photo travel to the amazing ancient city of Matera suddenly included a night at a cozy and friendly Bed & Breakfast place in the small town of Montescaglioso. We searched online for an affordable place to spend the night near our target for the whole next day - the big and famous Matera. I am so grateful we found "Domus Dams"! The owners of the house were extremely friendly to us, welcomed us warmly and brought us to the festival that was having place at the town this same night, "San Rocco". On the next day they even insisted we take some food for the road. Thanks so much, it was such a pleasure!

This night was my very first time attending to such festival and I was amazed by its people, lights, sounds and spirit in general! The ceremony was spectacular and there was so much beautiful music played.

A night I will not forget, ever. Now enjoy some of the night photos I took. The next morning we didn't miss the opportunity to walk the paved streets, salute some of the local people and observe and photograph some of the wonderful landscapes surrounding the hills of the town.
