I never got tired of the beauty of Madagascar. My heart enjoyed looking at all the beauty around, but at the same time I felt sad because of the great poverty there. Today I want to share with you the impressions of another trip there - this time we were ready to explore three islands being near of our Nosy Be island.
After breakfast we were ready to go. Look what we saw behind the window of our restaurant in the morning. They clean the beach in the early morning and to get out all the trash they use not horses but zebu. I saw zebu first time exactly in Madagascar.
Before traveling to Madagascar, carefully consider the route and learn about the features of each individual location that you want to visit, this will save you from unpleasant surprises.
The second trip we have booked after Nosy Indraja Island is a three islands trip. It's a full-day excursion that visits three different islands near Nosy Be.
We started the day at Nosy Komba Island - Lemur Island. Going to this island is a great opportunity to get to know these wonderful animals in wild island, not in the zoo!
After entering the forest, the guide taps the tree trunks and shouts "maki maki" - and a group of lemurs descends from the branches.
They know very well that we did not come empty - we were handed with threat for them - we brought bananas. And because of bananas, they are even ready to climb on our heads, although they are otherwise quite timid.
There are a lot of them, and it's not difficult to find them, especially those that "sing", but actually howl loudly. In addition, we found lemurs that run along the coast, and some of them even scratch their ears.
In Madagascar, these cute animals live everywhere, even in the tree next to my hotel room!
A sanctuary has been established on the island, where not only lemurs live, but also turtles and snakes. You can also buy handmade souvenirs - various wood products, magnets, embroidered tablecloths, drawings.
The second island is Nosy Tanikely, or "small island". The island has a great beach and an even better coral reef to explore while snorkeling and if you're lucky (I was lucky) you'll also see some impressive sized, very friendly turtles.
Turtles photos were taken and sent to me by other members of our tour group.
Last stop is Nosy Sakatija for a great seafood picnic on a beautiful wild beach and crowning it all is a swim in the emerald water.
Our planet is so amazing. Isn't it?
