When going on vacation to Egypt, many people are used to staying in hotels, guesthouses, and only a small part of people choose apartments with a private kitchen and the possibility to cook their own meals. I would like to present a completely different place of recreation - a campsite (or camping).
Many campsites are located in the Nuweiba area of the Sinai Peninsula, on the shores of the Red Sea.
In the campsite we were: there are several types of residential houses: several dozen one-story brick houses with a dome in the ceiling, like a Turkish bath, and painted ceilings. The sun was shining in our house of such type.
In terms of area, the room is not big, it can fit one double bed, there are also houses with 2 or 3 separate beds. And the Suite is suitable even for a family or 4 adults; the Suite type house has a larger terrace outside.
There is a wooden wardrobe in the room, I don't know why, but without a door. Here you can put or hang some clothes. There is an air conditioner, but it works only for cooling, since we stayed during the early winter, we didn't need it. There is also a small bathroom in the house, with WC, shower and a boiler that also prepares hot water.
There are also other 6 wooden houses built on wooden stilts in the campsite. Wooden houses are suitable for one, two or three persons. There is one double bed and one extra bed. Although the wooden house looks simple, it also has a separate bathroom with shower and hot water, WC. In the bathroom, due to a poorly made slope or crooked hands of the builders and a trap installed in the wrong place, the bathroom floats after bathing, but there is a special ruler that helps to remove the water.
There is a refrigerator in the room, but we have never used it; it is still wrapped in film, maybe other vacationers haven't opened it either. There is even an LCD TV, but it was never turned on either, so I couldn't tell what channels it had. There is a local air conditioner and although the temperature can be raised above +25, it only works for cooling the air, but not for heating.
Wi-Fi is available in the campsite, but the speed is not high and it can be ordered for an additional fee if desired. There is an open small (not heated) swimming pool, rocking chairs where it is fun to watch the Sinai mountains.
There is a restaurant, a covered cafe with pillows, where Turkish coffee or black tea will be brewed especially for you. Since meals at the campsite are only available for breakfast and dinner, the chefs will also prepare these dishes especially for you.
If there are few people, the food will be prepared according to your pre-arranged wishes and served according to the menu, so it will be fresh and delicious.
If there are more people at the campsite, several types of steaming meals will be prepared. Whether grilled fish or chicken: the chicken is stuffed with cheese, batter or mushroom sauce and of course freshly baked bread, salad and chickpea or bean paste used as a sauce.
There is no "all inclusive" here, and if coffee and tea are included in the price for breakfast, then additional lunch and drinks (except during breakfast) will be for an additional fee. No alcoholic beverages either: if it's hard to live without them, they can be bought in the nearby areas of Taba Heighs or Nuweiba and consumed in your houses.
The beach has thatched cabins, and they are also with pillows on the ground, cozy and cute. Both on a hot day and in the evening, it's fun to spend time here. In the dark time of the day, you can make a bonfire and enjoy the especially abundant starry sky. Ah, true peace and romance surrounded by wild nature...
It's very relaxing quiet place for those who want silence and serenity. But if you want a noisy vacation with many activities this camp will not fit you.
