Hi all, how is your New Year going? I hope the weather is good there and many of us - nature lovers will get to be outside for abit during this winter! 😊
If it is too cold there, rainy, or snowy and you miss it outside so much. This post might bring you some joy of visiting a lovely, beautiful and poetic lake in my city - Da Nang, Viet Nam!
Alright, now I won't tell you my silly story about how I messed up my motorbike when I was there last time by riding straight into a big puddle of water 😆
Hummm, let's keep it professional here 🤣
As you know, Da Nang, my lovely city has mountain, rivers, beqches, ocean, a beautiful bay, waterfalls, lakes, oh my... I live in heaven!
And this is why I really love to share my city with you!
About 10km from the city’s centre to the Northeast, the Green Lake is on the way to the Linh Ung Pagoda on the Son Tra Peninsula.
Just from this, you can imagine the Green Lake will lay its back on the mountain and face Da Nang city! 😊
Green Lake - in Vietnamese we call it Ho Xanh
Nestled on the main road leading to Da Nang’s Son Tra Peninsula, the Xanh (Green) Lake is very inviting to visitors due to its pristine natural beauty and fresh air.
You can come for photoshot, for dates 😋 come to chill and remember to bring some coffee with you! Bring a big bluetooth speaker as well!
But the only thing you are not allowed to do is camping 😀
There are lots of wild monkeys around and they are supposed to have their own private and natural environment.
Just riding up the mountain from the bottom for only 3km, you'll see a sign on the left side!
It's definately not a super sunny day - But my point is always "making the best out of every situation!"😊
Lucky me, I got successful tempting my buddy to go with me haha
So he rode the bike and I was literally running jumping and getting so much into taking photos, looking aroud, smelling the plants!
This is where we parked our motorbike.
Trust me! Park the bike and walk in there! Don't ride through the puddle! It would kill your bike! 🤣

The special thing about being in nature is... You can feel things around you so free, so fresh, no natural. You feel like you can be yourself, you can be in a flow-state. You can put your guard down, and so, just enjoy your surroundings 😊

And here we go! Green Lake and a happy face! 😊
Green Lake, also known as Bai But lake, is formed from natural flows, accumulated over time into a lake with extremely unique jade green water.
The water in the lake is so calm that you can see the shadows of the trees and the color of the sky. Around the lake surrounded by rocks in different sizes and many green trees. All blended together to create a mesmerizing scene. Perhaps because of this feature, people call it "Green Lake".
The Sun is going down so fast today because of the clouds!
So I decided to hang out with strange (young) people there 😆
Well I mean.. they are beautiful models 😊
This is definately the spot I'd take my guy to - Oh - Or he takes me to see the sunset together! 😋
What makes the lake so special?
You can see the lake is facing the city and laying its back on the mountain behind it! That's why from this spot, the lake looks like a giant mirror reflecting the whole city and also the ocean in the front of it! 😍

It looks so beautiful from far away where you can see the skyline and the people standing there, so close to the sky and the ground, so close to the ocean and also the mountain behind them! 🤗
I call this "The mirror of mother nature"

We are not allowed to feed them though! 😃

Many people still coming in when the sun was down already. Many go cycling, many go for photoshot, many just want to get some fresh air!
The special thing about Da Nang is: You are surrounded by nature, and nature is free! And nature is panacea! It heals us, it entertains us, it brings us joy, brings us friends. It helps us connect with ourselves better. It makes us healthier, and thank to nature, we CREAT MEMORIES with our loved ones! 😊
Or - even make us fall inlove with someone!
Green Lake has always been my favorite spot in the last 1 year since I first found it. And since then it has seen and heard many stoties of myself and my buddy!
Now running into bed so I can dream of Green Lake again, and many other places in the world that I have not got to see!
