Happy Weekend Hivers! 🤗🌻
It is a such beautiful sunny Sunday here, in Da Nang, Viet Nam!
We have got into winter and it was pretty cold and rainy earlier. By some lovely chance, we are having a week of sunshine and this totally makes everyone so happy. We ride up to the mountain, we run to the beach, we go camping, we go sailing, we go on waterfall adventures.
Do you know absorbing sunshine makes us feel happier and it helps creating more positive energy? 😃
And yes, these sunny days really get me a bit over-excited to be outside, and so instead of sitting at home to make music like on rainy days, today I took my camera out again with my buddy, we rode up to Son Tra Peninsula to say hi to the lovely monkeys there haha
Son Tra Peninsula is 10km from the center of Da Nang City to the North-east and is 693m high above sea level. Most of the time we make it there on the beach road which is absolutely gorgeous with tempting views, so 10km always feels like just wandering to your neighborhood and come back 😆
Alright, from now on let me call it Monkey Mountain, it's the familiar name that me and my US vetaran tourists always used.
It was always our favorite place not only because of the beautiful nature, it also about the history of the place 😊
On the top of the mountain, there is a place that was called Monkey Mountain Facility (also known as Monkey Mountain SIGINT, Hill 621 or Panama) was a U.S. Air Force (USAF) and Marine base.
Right now, let's go from the bottom haha
Hope you enjoy this little adventure. The sun was so beautiful outside making my heart dancing and inspiring me to write a new song!
Along the beach on the way to Monkey Mountain
This area is always my favorite spot for a cold coconut
For your information (which most people don't know) - There used to be a US CAP Marines school in 1960's right there where the palm trees are 😃
Many people were out today riding up to the mountain
A few vendors selling seafood by the harbor
Turning to the road to go up to Monkey Mountain
And here we met the first monkey guy 😆
This was taken before he tried to grab my food haha
So the warning is " We are not allowed to feed monkeys, they are wild and they need their food in nature" 😀
So we stayed away from him so the guy could keep enjoying his sunny day 😎
Meditating 😎
We kept going up, and oh my! Look at the sky! I love the combination of green of nature and blue of the sky!
There is musesum on the way up
And here is our destination today, we did not get to the top. But this is always our favorite spot to chill and take photos, sometimes I played guitar here with my friends 😊
The drink of my childhood, had not had it for years haha 😆
Many and many people up there today, everyone was happy on a rare sunny Sunday 😊
My buddy trying to take photo of his drink haha
And me, this... pretty cool right? 😎
Then this 🤣 (such a good photographer friend) lol
May people still coming up when we were leaving
It was a beautiful day, so much laughs and memories.
The most special thing about this day is we did not plan for it
And we are both going through a tough time of being heart-broken. But I do believe that beautiful hearts are not necessarily flawless ones.
They are actually patchy ones but still full ones. Those are pieces of life experiences, of stories, of pains, of happiness, of people we have and will meet.
Love my buddy, love where we are, and we all appreciate the nature, the sunshine, the moment we are still alive to LIVE A LIFE!😊
Thank you for being here today and Happy Sunday!
