Espero que se encuentren muy bien, viajando y recorriendo el mundo, encontrándose en lugares nuevos y descubriendo rincones, que también nos descubran a nosotros mismos. Hoy les traigo un lugar al que deseo volver, pero en su momento estuvo muy analizado por mí y les contaré por qué.
It is a small square in Palermo, called Plaza Güemes, over the years has undergone several transformations and unions to make a single space between the square and the church, something like a small square or pedestrian street, to go for a walk or be near, it is simply an ideal place to stroll and rest a moment.

Se trata de una pequeña plaza en Palermo, llamada Plaza Güemes, a lo largo de los años ha pasado varias transformaciones y uniones para hacer así un solo espacio entre la plaza y la iglesia, algo así como una plazoleta o calle peatonal, para ir de paseo o estar cerca, es simplemente un lugar ideal donde pasear y descansar un momento.
Formerly there was a lagoon here that was very close to the Maldonado stream, I studied this information at the time, since not only I did not get to see this lagoon, but I do not live nearby. It happened that when I was studying at the university, we used to analyze specific places to learn different construction issues, and then be able to apply it in our own spaces and finally in a personal creation.

Antiguamente había aquí una laguna que estaba muy cerca del arroyo Maldonado, este dato lo estudié en su momento, ya que no solo yo no llegué a ver esta laguna, sino que tampoco vivo cerca. Sucedió que en la época que estudiaba en la universidad, hacíamos análisis de lugares puntuales para aprender distintas cuestiones de construcciones, y luego poder aplicarlo en nuestros propios espacios y finalmente en una creación personal.
Also admittedly, for my years of study, this pedestrian part was fairly new, now it sure has gone through major transformations and I would like to stop by soon to see how this promenade feels today. I would add that it is a very small square, which made the analysis and the university era even more striking. We were a lot of students sitting around, sketching and pointing out the most striking things about the square. A complex analysis that will definitely encompass unknown and varied spaces.

También hay que reconocer que, por mis años de estudio, esta parte peatonal era bastante nueva, ahora seguro ha pasado por mayores transformaciones y me gustaría pasar pronto para ver qué tal se siente este paseo hoy por hoy. Añado que es una plaza muy pequeña, lo que hizo aún más llamativo el análisis y la época universitaria. Éramos muchos estudiantes sentados, dibujando y apuntando las cosas más llamativas de la plaza. Un análisis complejo que definitivamente abarcará espacios desconocidos y variados.
Definitely the most striking thing is the church at the end of the street, curiously at some point this square was called “Plaza Guadalupe” or at least that's how the neighbors knew it, since the church bears that name, we all agreed that this gave a special touch to the walk there.

Definitivamente lo más llamativo es la iglesia al final de la calle, curiosamente en algún momento esta plaza se llamó “Plaza Guadalupe” o al menos así la conocían los vecinos, puesto que la iglesia lleva ese nombre, todos coincidimos en que esto daba un toque especial al paseo por allí.
At that time we did not enter the church, it was not necessary for our study, but as it was a team work, we had to go back, with the luck to have in front of us the grandmother of a friend, she invited us a snack with a homemade cake and told us about her years there nearby, then we returned to photograph and draw the space. Really lovely college moments where we got to know each other more, and sharing work brought us together.

En ese momento no entramos a la iglesia, no hacía falta para nuestro estudio, pero como era un trabajo por equipos, tuvimos que volver, con la suerte de tener enfrente a la abuela de una amiga, nos invitó la merienda con una torta casera y nos contó sobre sus años ahí cerca, luego volvimos a fotografiar y dibujar el espacio. Realmente encantadores momentos universitarios donde conocernos más, y compartir trabajos nos unió.
It is also worth mentioning that in this post there are photos of the surrounding areas, the study was comprehensive of the area, outstanding spaces for the Armenian community, schools, plaques, recognitions, etc.

También cabe destacar que en este post hay fotos de las zonas aledañas, el estudio fue integral de la zona, espacios destacados para la comunidad armenia, escuelas, placas, reconocimientos, etc.
More reason to study this space, which was quite limited, not to say small square, but it is full of history, the walk is pleasant and charming; the people of the neighborhood were surprised by the number of students that we were and with good reason, we were everywhere drawing and sketching the space, the trees, the different materials, the cobblestones, the monuments, everything was remarkable for those who were going for the first time.

Más motivo para estudiar este espacio, que era bastante acotado por no decir pequeña plaza, sino que está rebosante de historia, el paseo es ameno y encantador; la gente del barrio estaba sorprendida de la cantidad de estudiantes que éramos y con justa razón, estábamos por todos lados dibujando y bocetando el espacio, los árboles, los distintos materiales, los adoquines, los monumentos, todo era destacable para los que íbamos por primera vez.
This also gives us another reality, we did not all draw the same, we did not all think of the road in the same way, because we could not all be sitting in the same place. Each one used the perspective that best suited him, in my case I chose to sit and sketch where the sun was shining because it was winter and it was cold.

Esto también nos regala otra realidad, no todos dibujamos lo mismo, no todos pensamos el camino de la misma manera, porque no podíamos todos estar sentados en el mismo lugar. Cada uno usó la perspectiva que mejor le dió, en mi caso elegí sentarme a bocetar donde me daba el sol porque era invierno y hacía frío.
Besides, I love to walk around the city and the fact that they took me to see a square that was not in my panorama at all was great. It is essential to let yourself be surprised by the places and in the case of Palermo, let yourself be carried away by every corner, it is a neighborhood with surprises and nooks and crannies in every corner.

Además, me encanta recorrer la ciudad y que me hayan llevado a conocer una plaza que no tenía para nada en mi panorama fue genial. Es fundamental dejarse sorprender por los lugares y en el caso de Palermo, dejarse llevar por todos los rincones, es un barrio con sorpresas y recovecos en cada esquina.
