Local Favorite
When locals (including me) hear the word "resort," Intosan is usually the first name that comes to mind. It's a go-to spot for families, barkadas, and even solo travelers looking for water fun and relaxation. The resort has been around for years (as far as I can remember), building a reputation as one of the best recreational venues in the area. With its welcoming and family-friendly vibe and practical and whimsical design (especially for kids), it's no wonder people keep coming back.
Getting there is no trouble at all! If you're coming from Danao City, hop on a tricycle at the Danao City Terminal and ask to be dropped off at the resort's gate. The ride is convenient and budget-friendly (25 pesos), making it accessible. If you're driving, you can ask Google Maps for directions!
Stepping Inside
As soon as we arrived, we went to the lobby, where the ticket booth was. The entrance fee is an affordable Php 150 pesos (2.55 USD) per person (rooms, tables, and cottages are another rate). A short walk from the gate leads to the main pool area, but the journey there is already a sight to behold! On our way to our room, we passed several suites and rooms with private pools. These accommodations are perfect for overnight stays, longer getaways, or staycations, especially if you want to spend quality time with your loved ones.
Once we passed the second gate, the magic happened as the resort's main attraction came into view: its uniquely designed pools. Styled like canals, the pools wind around a central island featuring colorful slides for kids and adorable mushroom statues. The layout is playful, functional, and a great spot for photo ops—offering something for everyone. On the right side, there's an adult pool, and beside it, you'll find tables and chairs available for rent at Php 300 (5.10 USD) or Php 500 (8.49 USD). On the left, cozy cottages can be rented for Php 1,000 (16.99 USD). ( Disclaimer: Prices might already have changed since our last visit but are still within that range) The resort also features a serene koi pond and a restaurant bar perched on an elevated spot at the back, perfect for those who need it.
Comfortable and Convenient Rooms
Since we are several friends, we rented a standard room for six people at a reasonable Php 1,900 for an overnight stay (2 days, 1 night). The resort allowed us some extra friends as long as we only occupied the room we paid for (we started a hide-and-seek game with them at the start). The room was cozy and well-equipped, featuring 3 beds, air conditioning, a TV, a refrigerator, 1 toilet, and 1 shower room. It's perfect for families and friends who want to relax in comfort after a day of swimming and activities.
The best thing about the accommodations? They are located right beside the pool! We're just a few steps away from jumping into the water as soon as we step outside the room. The resort also has an open kitchen (but you have to bring your own tools and appliances) and a grilling area at the back, allowing guests like us to prepare our own meals—and no corkage fee!
Fun, Fun, Fun in the Water!
Of course, the main highlight of our visit was the pools, hahaha (we're here for our break after all). The canal-like layout lets you swim in a loop, which we did many times, making it both fun and relaxing for 20-year-old teenagers. The water is shallow enough to be safe for kids and those whose height is like a kid.
Here's playing in the water and having the best of her life after asking me to take her photo with a request "make it look like a candid shot "
For the thrill-seekers, like some of my friends, there's a deeper pool on the side for adults, complete with average-heigh yet still fun and exciting slides that guarantee laughs and experience.
The boys did sure enjoy with that slide
And since we opted for an overnight stay, we got to enjoy some perks that day—like enjoying the pool once the sun sets. We were allowed to swim until 9 PM, giving us plenty of time to soak up the fun under the stars. Even after the pool area closes, the fun doesn't stop. We continued hanging out in our room area until midnight. Still, we were also mindful of our noise level to avoid disturbing other visitors. The place is perfect for late-night chats, catching up with drinks and games, or simply winding down after an exciting day. In addition, the ambiance is serene, and the lights are pretty at night.
And that's all for today! I hope you enjoyed our blog today, Hive friends! I also hope you already enjoyed your holiday splash. If not, consider this as a sign to plan for one! (To my college friends reading this-- please let's go for a swim already, hahaha)
Until next time—keep discovering and creating memories!✨
