Who wants to experience something comforting amidst this taxing pandemic? Do you want a change of pace?
Staying at home for a longer time when we are not used to is something so tedious. It’s like having the feeling of tiredness even if you don’t have much work to do.
That is why people would really want to go out and since there is restrictions in going around the city, people opt to go nature hopping. And one way people can do that especially those under 18 is to take mountain biking.
Who wants to go mountain biking?
Two of my kids became engrossed with mountain biking, and sometimes go on with a little bit difficult trails especially my 15-year-old son.
They have a group of mountain bikers, mostly classmates in high school who regularly go out with their bikes.
Their bikes take them to places they could not reach or are not allowed to when taking public utility vehicles. Since they are still 15 and under they are prohibited to enter malls, etc. Although recently there was an ordinance or directions that 15 years old and under may enter malls as long as they are accompanied by their parents.
CAMARAHAN-PAHIRON RIDGE
So this is where my kids used to go and most of the bikers around. They find the place perfect for biking and also a good place to relax and get away from the busy streets of the city.
Camarahan-Pahiron ridge which has an amazing sunrise and sunset view is located along the road between two adjoining barangays of Cagayan de Oro City, namely Lumbia and Pagatpat.
There are a lot of visitors coming to this place every day. Actually not only bikers or hikers but also those with their private vehicles.

When we went there we just had snacks along the highway, I should have gone to the area where you can take magnificent photos of the mountain and with those effects, they have to add beauty to one’s photo but we were not ready that time and besides, we need to go somewhere after that.
But my kids had explored the area and took a lot of photos, some of those I shared here in this blog. In fact, they went there many times already with the company of different people.
How to get there?
It’s very easy, aside from taking a bike, one can go there in private or public vehicles. It is like a 10-15 minute ride from the city proper, some people even go there by walk.
So that's all for now, I hope I could write about this place again soon.
All photos are mine.
(KEEP SAFE EVERYONE AND GOD BLESS!)
