Hi my friend, today I'm telling you about my walk on Sibilla mount.
Mount Sibilla is located in the Marche region and is part of the municipalities of Montefortino and Montemonaco belonging to the provinces of Fermo and Ascoli Piceno.
It is part of the “Sibillini Mountains National Park!!
The mountain is 2173 meters above sea level and offers beautiful landscapes if you make its routes on the crest of the mountain, it often happens to walk in the clouds or meet animals.
Once the car was parked in the Montemonaco area, I started walking and I must say it was a wonderful experience.
Obviously, as always in the mountains, you have to be careful and equip yourself properly, in summer strong sunscreen, water and hats. There are also sources where you can drink in some areas but it is always good to bring water.
In spring and autumn beware of sudden thunderstorms and as winter approaches beware of possible snowfalls and blizzards that can put you in difficulty.
In certain points the paths are a little more difficult and you can help yourself with the chains that you find attached to the rock, but still passable.
Walking on these mountains you can meet grazing flocks of sheep (as you can see in the photo below), cows, horses, goats, chamois and other wild animals.
The mountain takes its name from a mythological sorceress called "Sibilla"!!
The mountain houses a cave where legend has it that the sorceress Sibilla lived, I personally don't believe much in legends but what surprises me is that around the world you can find stories and testimonies of people from different countries who tell of their encounters with the Sibyl around the year 1.400, this thing is really amazing!!!
My friend, I recommend a walk here, always paying attention, beautiful places to spend a day, in the surroundings there are beautiful villages to visit with places to eat typical local dishes and mountain refuges.
See you next time my friend!!
The photos are taken by me and what I tell is my experience, my emotions and my impressions
