Hello friend, today I'll let you know a little better the Puglia region and some of its peculiarities by showing you some shots of my past trips taken especially in the summer..
As you may know Puglia is home to the famous Trulli, ancient houses of the locals, in this shot you can see a beautiful ancient trullo remained in its original shape and construction, it is located in the middle of a field and has become one with the vegetation, in this case in particular with two plants very present in this place which are the fig and prickly pear.
Going around the region you will notice the beautiful colors of the earth, it is not uncommon to see fields of land tending towards red, in this case it is a beautiful brown.
TRULLO
Another very present component in Puglia are its millenary olive trees, yes you understood correctly…millennial!!!
In southern Europe where olive trees are very present, there are specimens that have been alive for centuries and some even for millennia, even in this region there are specimens that experts have said are over two thousand years old.
In Puglia it is produced in over 32% of the oil that is produced in Italy.
MILLENARIES OLIVE TREES
The products of the earth are an excellence in Southern Italy which, due to its mild climate, allows the crops to be rich and beautiful.
In this photo we are precisely in Ostuni in the province of Brindisi, the inhabitants of this case have put the fresh cherry tomatoes to air hanging outside their home, creating a very nice corner with the background of the typical white houses that are very present in Puglia.
In particular, in Ostuni the houses of the town are all white (with the exception of the churches) because its inhabitants in the past colored their homes white to blind the enemies who came from the sea, in fact Ostuni is called "The white city".
CHERRY TOMATOES
the products of the earth are sold in the markets after being collected, cleaned and sorted by traders or producers to then be resold in the city markets, if you visit the countries especially in the summer you will be able to see chairs outside the houses with fruit and vegetables leaning on them , the inhabitants in this way want to say "Hey, if you are interested in this type of fruit or vegetable, knock on my door".

The beautiful city of Bari consists of a new area and an older part called “Bari Vecchia” where you can see the ancient alleys of the city.
One of the most characteristic places in the old area is the beautiful Castello Svevo, a castle that is over 900 years old.
CASTLE, BARI
Traveling along the motorway in a southerly direction, arriving near the province of Bari, you can see the writing "Bari Nord", area of the ancient medieval capitals on the sea".
Indeed it is true, north of the city of Bari there are some beautiful seaside towns and each of them has a beautiful cathedral overlooking the sea, towns such as Giovinazzo, Molfetta and Trani.
In the photo you can see the medieval cathedral on the sea of the town of Trani, these cathedrals have been close to the sea for centuries retaining their splendor, it is wonderful to visit them.
TRANI CATHEDRAL
Another icon of the Puglia region and of Italy for its unique structure is the "Castel del Monte" belonging to the city of Andria, it is a unique castle of its kind because it was built in a heptagonal shape and with 8 towers which are in turn heptagonal.
The castle dates back to around the year 1250 and, like the Trulli of Alberobello, was included among the UNESCO World Heritage Sites in 1996.
Probably if you live in the European Union or have been to Europe you have held this marvel in your hand ... in fact Castel del Monte is printed on the 1 cent Euro coin.
Concluding this collection my friend I suggest you visit this magical region of southern Italy, you will thank me!!!
