Hello, friends. Today I want to share with you the experience that was for my visit to Old Havana. You know, I am a fan of colonial architecture, and although I live near Trinidad and visit it often, compared to Old Havana, Trinidad looks like a miniature. I had never had the pleasure of visiting it, but the impression it left on me was such that I feel like an emptiness, like a desire to go for more.
From the first moment the stone streets began, I knew I was in a special place. Every place reflected history, from the grand and elegant gates that have stood the test of centuries, to the facades that tell you stories of times past. I was amazed by every detail, from the antiques to the sculptures that carry deep cultural symbolism.
In one of the many places I visited, I was able to find the statue of Polish pianist and composer Federico Chopin, just one example of the elegance and skill of Cuban artisans, one of the many cultural symbols I was able to appreciate. But that's Havana, full of surprises that blend the local with the international in a unique way.
On no less than one occasion I got lost among the cobblestone streets, this quiet place provided me with a certain sense of security. The city parks are simply beautiful and impressive. There is also the Capitol, a masterpiece that I thought I could only admire from afar. It turns out that I could have visited it, or at least, that's what I was told, I thought they wouldn't let me in and I missed that opportunity. However, I take solace in knowing that at least I was close to that architectural marvel. I also had the pleasure of admiring the Central Park, although I was not able to admire and enjoy it as I would have liked.
Walking through the streets of Old Havana is like taking a walk to a new place, a different place that I can't find words to describe. I felt small in front of so much elegance and artistic skill. I loved getting lost in the history that permeates every corner, admiring the architecture that has stood the test of time.
It would never have crossed my mind that I would like Old Havana so much. I live in the countryside and I admire nature, but the beauty of this place is hard to match. My admiration for this place is enormous.
My visit to Old Havana was an experience I will never forget. The mix of history, culture and architecture made every moment worthwhile. If you have the opportunity to visit this wonderful place in the capital of the Cubans, do not hesitate to do so. I am sure you will take away unforgettable memories and a renewed appreciation for the beauty of the past. You will be impressed.
