Este es mi primer post en la comunidad, me da mucha ilusión compartir por primera vez contenido exclusivo sobre viajes. Les confieso que desde hace tiempo estoy atenta a la comunidad y he guardado material para publicar en la comunidad, me dije: ¡Ya es momento de publicar algunas aventuras!.

This is my first post in the community, and I am very excited to share exclusive travel content for the first time. I confess that I have been following the community for some time and have saved material to post in the community. I said to myself, “It's time to publish some adventures!”
Hoy comienzo con un viaje inolvidable con mis amigas a quienes me dejó la universidad y la vida. Hace casi un año nos organizamos para hacer un viaje increíble, deseábamos hacer turismo de algún pueblo pintoresco, montañoso y frío en Venezuela, así que decidimos visitar un lugar llamado la Colonia Tovar ubicado en el estado Aragua es patrimonio cultural... una hermosura. Particularmente en Navidad es una experiencia sin comparación alguna, no porque yo conozca muchos lugares, pero al menos para mi ha sido extraordinario.
Today I am embarking on an unforgettable trip with my friends, whom I met at university and throughout my life. Almost a year ago, we organized an incredible trip. We wanted to visit a picturesque, mountainous, and cold town in Venezuela, so we decided to visit a place called Colonia Tovar, located in the state of Aragua. It is a cultural heritage site... a thing of beauty. Christmas there is an experience like no other, not because I have been to many places, but because, at least for me, it has been extraordinary.
Muchas veces en Venezuela deseamos conocer países con estas características y pienso que lo más importante es darse la oportunidad de conocer primero nuestro país, conectar con la diversidad de nuestras raíces.
In Venezuela, we often want to visit countries with these characteristics, but I think the most important thing is to give ourselves the opportunity to get to know our own country first, to connect with the diversity of our roots.
De niña junto a mi mamá visité la Colonia Tovar, tenía recuerdos muy vagos: solo recordaba una muñeca de trapo, el autobús y fresas con crema. En aquella oportunidad fue un viaje ida por vuelta, pero esta vez, mis amigas y yo nos quedamos 2 noches y 3 días: sábado, domingo y lunes. Esto nos dio el tiempo suficiente para caminar el pueblo de día y de noche, hacer un recorrido por algunos sitios turísticos, fueron al menos 8 ó 12 lugares: para probar chocolate, productos con base en lácteos de cabra, fábrica de galletas, casa del árbol, ferias de dulces, probar comidas, conversar, etc.
As a child, I visited Colonia Tovar with my mother, but I had very vague memories of it: I only remembered a rag doll, the bus, and strawberries with cream. That time, it was a round trip, but this time, my friends and I stayed for two nights and three days: Saturday, Sunday, and Monday. This gave us enough time to walk around the town day and night, visit some tourist sites—at least eight or twelve places—to try chocolate, goat milk products, a cookie factory, a tree house, candy fairs, sample foods, chat, etc.
Durante nuestros recorridos llovió y tuvimos que escampar dentro de un salón grande que reúne personas artesanas y emprendedoras de la localidad, fue una de mis partes favoritas porque pudimos conocer sobre la historia y cultura de la Colonia Tovar. La mayoría de estas familias y nuevas generaciones son descendientes de personas provenientes de Alemania que se asentaron en estas montañas y edificaron sus hogares en estas tierras. Eso explica la belleza del diseño de las fachadas de las casas hechas de madera en su mayoría, eso me tenía atónita, también el cielo estrellado en las noches, los sabores de sus alimentos, la frescura del agua, el clima, todo en conjunto era estar en otra dimensión para mi.
During our tours, it rained and we had to take shelter in a large hall that brings together local artisans and entrepreneurs. It was one of my favorite parts because we were able to learn about the history and culture of Colonia Tovar. Most of these families and new generations are descendants of people from Germany who settled in these mountains and built their homes on this land. That explains the beauty of the design of the facades of the houses, which are mostly made of wood. I was amazed by this, as well as the starry sky at night, the flavors of the food, the freshness of the water, and the climate. All of this together made me feel like I was in another dimension.
Como les comenté, disfrutamos las conversaciones con las personas de la localidad, comprender su cotidianidad, nos contaron que dependen del turismo (que es más frecuente en Diciembre y Carnaval) y otros oficios de trabajo que aprovechan de realizar durante temporadas bajas. Son personas muy amables y atentas, tienen una increíble identidad con el territorio, con el país y esa vocación al servicio. Gracias a estos compartir me enteré que existía otro pueblo parecido llamado El Jarillo, nos contaba que aunque era menos turístico, era tan precioso como la Colonia Tovar, así que es un lugar al que espero conocer también.
As I mentioned, we enjoyed talking with the locals and learning about their daily lives. They told us that they depend on tourism (which is most frequent in December and during Carnival) and other jobs that they take advantage of during the off-season. They are very friendly and attentive people, with an incredible sense of identity with the region, the country, and a vocation for service. Thanks to these conversations, I learned that there was another similar town called El Jarillo. They told us that although it was less touristy, it was just as beautiful as Colonia Tovar, so it's a place I hope to visit as well.
La naturaleza y la tranquilidad que hay en este lugar es inconmensurable, ahora que recuerdo cada paisaje que vi era precioso, agradezco por haber tenido tal privilegio de compartir con grandes amigas de mi vida y por haberme regalado estos días de descanso, luego de tantos meses de trabajo.
The nature and tranquility of this place are immeasurable. Now that I remember every landscape I saw, it was beautiful. I am grateful for having had the privilege of sharing it with great friends in my life and for having been given these days of rest after so many months of work.
