How are you Hivers? I believe you are spending enjoyable weekend with your beloved once staying home or going put. For a long time, I didn't get a chance to spend a free evening with my family outside the house due to being busy with work, having to hospitalize the elderly people at home due to illness, etc. But during the early period of last year, I was able to visit many parts of Sri Lanka. They were explained by me in terms of content in this community. No matter how busy I am, I hope to introduce you to the upcoming trips. Because we want to see the diversity of people living in the world. Yesterday afternoon we gave my little daughter a chance to have fun as she has been out of preschool for almost two months. Accordingly, the three of us arrived at Anagarika Dharmapala Park in Galle city. That is what I hope to present in this content.
Anagarika Dharmapala Park is located in front of Galle railway station. At that time, this park was not well maintained. But only 10 years ago, the Urban Development Authority took steps to modernize this. That is why today Anagarika Dharmapala Park has become a clean place. There are separate big cans for waste disposal. A Sri Lankan adult must get a ticket of 50 rupees to enter this park. There is no entrance fee for children. This park is not difficult to find as it is located in the center of Galle city.
In 2004, the Anagarika Dharmapala Park near the sea was completely destroyed by the Tsunami disaster. Before that, there were not many good activities in this park. Since the misbehavior of lovers and extortion from young lovers was well done at that time, it was almost impossible to come with small children at that time. Therefore, because there was a big controversy about Galle Park at that time, steps were taken to increase discipline by adding some new rules and regulations.
This park is named after Anagarika Dharmapala who played a great role in the Sri Lankan Buddhist renaissance. I could understand from my experience that strict discipline is being followed here. Otherwise, the activities of such a public park cannot be controlled. A hall has been newly built for those who enter the park to get food. Water facilities have been provided for them to wash their hands and drink. A few people got food from there.
It is a great relief for the feet that the walkway that was set up to enter the park is paved with cement bricks. They are made in different shapes to suit the place. A variety of ornamental flower trees and large trees provide coolness and shade to this garden. Seeing young lovers playing Pembus and enjoying themselves between the small cabins took me back to my past. It is a matter of happiness that the small plants planted here in the past have grown into large trees and are still alive without being destroyed even by the tsunami.
While walking forward in the park, my daughter and I posed for a photo. You can imagine her love for this place from her smile. As young children are more interested in learning new things, they should be taken to a place like this and create an environment where they can play outside that frees their minds. Through that they can see their competence and creativity in the future.
Several ornamental plants with leaves of various color combinations were seen near the greenhouse of the garden. Inside the greenhouse, there were several varieties of orchids. But it was closed so I couldn't go near it and take photos. However, it was possible to get close and watch with live eyes.
What can be seen in the distance are the unique outdoor sports activities for small children. My daughter also pulled me by my arms and started hurrying to go there. She seemed to be very excited to do outdoor sports activities, so we reached the place with her as soon as possible. Along with that, several other children were involved in various games at that place.
At first, I went with my wife and my daughter entered the small room where the clock tower was located, kneeling down. The reason was that the daughter was a little afraid to enter it at once. We didn't give her any help because she was allowed to practice them on her own. Without that, children will not get a chance to think creatively. Therefore, children should always be allowed to think freely as adults. Its idea is not to condone wrongdoing.
After sliding down from the top of the chamber with the clock tower and reaching near the ground, the daughter once again entered the chamber and started doing several activities. It also allowed her to develop her learning activities.

Then the daughter was taken by my hand to the other end. There she had to do a little difficult work, so she went back a little. But after I told her to climb up, stepping between the small ropes and holding her hands tightly, she climbed up with difficulty. After training a few times, she willingly crawled through the ropes and climbed up.
Galle Anagarika Dharmapala Park is a paradise for small children. It is very convenient for adults because there are many sports activities suitable for children in one place. Outdoor sports activities give children the opportunity to choose the right path through more knowledge, creative thinking.
Some important words were mentioned on the name board at this place. It is extremely important to have such things displayed today. It is mentioned above in Sinhala that new doors are opened only to those who knock. It was mentioned to keep the environment clean, to throw waste only in bins, and to take care of children.
My daughter, Yuhasna Mintuli, can be seen engaging in outdoor sports activities with a smiling face. No doubt she learned a lot yesterday. Due to the fact that various colorful and mixed sports equipments are installed in Dharmapala Park, it also contributes more to the attraction of children.
My daughter also did swing riding which is a traditional Sri Lankan year game for more than ten minutes with the support of my wife. Then he walked along the high and low logs with great desire. A trip to a place with such activities that can bring happiness to our children is something that should be done whenever possible.
When we walked further in Anagarika Dharmapala Park, we were able to see some outdoor sports activities that other children can do. Although my daughter did not go to every one, she did not forget to participate in all the ones she liked.
Ornamental flower plants can be seen everywhere in Galle Anagarika Dharmapala Park. Among them, I caught an interesting type of flower in my camera lens with the aim of showing the beauty of nature. That is why this park can be said to be a beautiful place.
