Greetings friends of Hive! Today I want to share with you a different day at one of the most beautiful beaches in my country. Nestled in the extreme north of my home state, Aragua, is a small coastal town called Ocumare de la Costa, located on the shores of the coastal mountain range, and is really one of my favorite places since I was a child.
¡Saludos amigos de Hive! Hoy quiero compartir con ustedes un día diferente en una de las playas más bellas de mi país. Enclavado en el extremo norte de mi estado natal, Aragua, se encuentra un pueblito costero llamado Ocumare de la Costa, ubicado a las orillas de la cordillera de la costa, y que realmente es uno de mis sitios favoritos desde que era niña.
It was a planned trip to escape a little from the daily routine of the week, so early in the morning we took a bus that would take us to this place and spend a completely different day. After crossing the entire mountain that separates the city of Maracay from the sea, we arrived at a paradisiacal destination.
Fue un viaje planeado para escapar un poco de la cotidianidad de la semana, así que temprano tomamos un bus que nos llevaría hasta ese lugar y pasaríamos un día completamente diferente. Después de atravesar toda la montaña que separa la ciudad de Maracay del Mar, llegamos a un destino paradisiaco.
I am one of those people who love the sea, and from the moment I arrive until the time to leave I am in the water. Despite having this wonderful place very close, I do not go very often, so this day I intended to enjoy it to the fullest. After arriving and renting an awning to protect us from the sun, it was time for a nice swim.
Soy de las personas que ama el mar y desde que llega hasta la hora de partir estoy metida en el agua. A pesar de tener muy cerca este maravilloso lugar, no suelo ir muy a menudo, así que este día pretendía disfrutarlo al máximo. Después de llegar y alquilar un toldo para protegernos del sol, era hora de un buen chapuzón.
The water was really fantastic and warm, which is one of the things I like about the beaches in my state, apart from being beautiful, they are really nice. After that first swim, I went for a walk along the large beach, the boardwalk and the breakwater, enjoying the happiness that comes from being on the beach, listening to the waves crashing.
El agua estaba realmente fantástica y cálida, que es una de las cosas que me gusta de las playas de mi estado, aparte de bellas, son realmente agradables. Después de ese primer baño, me dispuse a dar un paseo por el Playón, el malecón y el rompeolas, disfrutando de la felicidad que genera estar en la playa, escuchando las olas romper.
This walk was a bit long, since the beach stretches for at least 700 meters, but it was really relaxing to walk along the sand and feel how the sea wet my feet, as well as feeling the fresh breeze that the wonderful morning offered. After that walk on the beach, it was time to go back to our place to continue enjoying. I really think I only left the water a few times, maybe just to have lunch.
Este recorrido fue algo largo, ya que la playa se extiende por al menos unos 700 metros, pero fue realmente relajante poder caminar por la arena y sentir cómo el mar mojaba mis pies, a la par de sentir la brisa fresca que ofrecía aquella maravillosa mañana. Después de aquel paseo por la playa, era hora de volver a nuestro lugar para seguir disfrutando. Realmente creo que salí pocas veces del agua, quizás solo para almorzar.
At about 3 pm, we started to pick up our things to return, since later the public transportation is a little more difficult, we went to some nearby bathrooms to get out of the salt water and change clothes, and then back to Maracay. I must say that I really enjoyed this day and I wish my visits to this place were a little more often. Ocumare is a paradise that I never get tired of visiting.
A eso de las 3 de la tarde, comenzamos a recoger nuestras cosas para volver, ya que más tarde el transporte público es un poco más difícil, fuimos hasta unos baños cercanos para sacarnos el agua salada y cambiarnos de ropa, y luego de regreso a Maracay. Debo decir que disfruté muchísimo este día y me gustaría que mis visitas a este lugar fueran un poco más seguidas. Ocumare es un paraíso que no me canso de visitar.
