Naszą wyprawę na plantację pieprzu postanowiliśmy zrealizować przy pomocy skutera. Wynajęliśmy więc skuter za 5 USD na dzień i wyruszyliśmy na plantację pieprzu, ale jak się później okazało, nie tylko pieprzu, ponieważ było tam wiele egzotycznych upraw.

We got to the Pepper Farm in Kampot. Admission is free, but you can only move around with a guide. We had to wait a while for the guide to return with the previous group. In the meantime, you can spend time in a local restaurant combined with a pepper products shop.

The tasting is peculiar because it is combined with a survey. During the tasting, we get a form in which we enter, after tasting a given variety of pepper, what it would be best suited for, e.g. meat, poultry, fish, cheese, vegetables etc. There were about 10 varieties of pepper to evaluate, and I will remember their taste forever.

Dostajemy podczas degustacji formularz, w którym wpisujemy po skosztowaniu danej odmiany pieprzu, do czego on by się najlepiej nadawał, np. do mięsa, drobiu, ryb, sera, warzyw etc. Do oceny było około 10 odmian pieprzu, a ich smak zapamiętam na zawsze.
After the tasting, we can go to the store and buy the varieties that we liked the most. We did so, we bought several varieties. This is pepper that won't screw up the food.

Kampot to urocza miejscowość gdzie oprócz fajnego bulwaru można również dobrze zjeść. Najbardziej spodobały mi się happy hours, gdzie w zmrożonych kuflach można sączyć piwo od 13 do 20 za uwaga!! 0,5 USD :
